APRIL 25, 1966
Immediately following adjournment of the Annual Meeting,
a Special Meeting of the City Council was held with Mayor Doherty
presiding.
Roll Call: Present: Bolger, Conway, Etten, Huck, Jackson,
Pitzen, Smith, Wegener.
Absent: None
Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Bolger, to approve the following
applications for Class "A" Alcoholic Beverage Licenses:
Victor S. Adams Sam D. Marsella
William Beaton Ernest Muzzillo
Ernest Freund and Catherine B. Nolan
Carolyn Justen Pieroni's, Inc.
Reinhold J. Genz "R" Place, Inc., An
Don Hoenes Illinois Corporation
Richard Jager Riverside Hotel - Fox Hole Tap
McHenry Country Club Catherine M. Simon
Elmer Steinsdorder Edmund Turkowski
Gus Unti
Motion carried.
Motion by Conway, seconded by Etten, to approve the application
of the American Legion Post No. 491, Inc. for Class "E" Alcoholic Beverage
License. Motion carried.
Motion by Huck, secorded by Wegener, to approve the applications
of Millstream Drugs, Inc. and Nye Drug, Inc. for Class "C" Alcoholic Beverage
Licenses. Motion carried.
Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Huck, to designate the following
salaries for city employees and appointed officers:
Walter Aeverman - $490 per month
Howard Dowell - $490 per month
James Miller - $490 per month
James Wiser - $19O per month
Joseph Diedrich - $515 per month
Overtime pay for above: $3.00 per hour
Police Department:
Richard Lemker, Chief - $525 per month
Richard Clark, Lt. - $490 per month
Kenneth Espey, Sgt. - $475 per month
John Weichmann - $460 per month
Robert Kranz - $460 per month
Gregory Burg - $435 per month
Desk Men:
Cyril Bolster - $125 per month
Albert M. Budler - $265 per month
Winfield Hagberg - $265 per month
Edward Tussey - $265 per month

Maintenance: - Joseph Williams - $100 per month, plus
$2.00 per hour as school crossing guard.
Supt. of Public .'forks: Fred J. Meyer, $10,000 annual
City Attorney: John E. Looze, .,:00 annual
Health Officer: Dr. Peter Griesbach, $50 annual
Members of Board of Health: Leo J. Winkel, $25 annual
Carl N. Weber, $25 annual
Mayme Buss: $100 per month for counting parking meter collections.
Motion carried.
Motion by Conway, seconded by Wegener, to approve the foregoing
appointments and the following committees as made by the Mayor:

Motion carried.
Motion by Etten, seconded by Jackson, to hire Wm. R. North and
Associates to make the annual audit of city books. Motion carried.
Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Bolger, to pass and approve resolution
designating the McHenry State Bank as depository of funds for the City
Treasurer. Motion carried.
Motion by Huck, seconded by Smith, to adjourn. Motion carried.
