AUGUST 1, 1966
The City Council met in regular semi-monthly meeting with
Mayor Doherty presiding. Aldermen present: Bolger, Etten, Jackson,
Smith, Wegener. Absent: Conway, Huck, Pitzen.
Motion by Bolger, seconded by Smith, to approve the minutes
of regular meeting held July 18th. Motion carried.
Motion by Smith, seconded by Bolger, to approve the treasurer' s
report as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Jackson, seconded by Bolger, to approve the clerk's
report as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Smith, seconded by Bolger, to pay the following bills
as approved by the finance committee: Motion carried.

Motion by Bolger, seconded by Etten, to open bids on new Compact
Station Wagon. Motion carried.
The following bids were received:
BUSS FORD SALES - Falcon $1,945.00 - bid included recommendation
of larger engine and automatic transmission at
cost of 82,085.00.
SEIBEL MOTOR SALES - Rambler $1,895.15 - Mr. William Seibel was
present and advised that automatic transmission
..... would cost $140.00 to 8150.00 additional.
The above bids were referred to purchasing committee.
August 1, 1966 - Regular Meeting #3
Motion by Smith, seconded by Jackson, to resurface Green Street
from approximate locations of the High School to Anne Street under Motor
Fuel Tax program and advise W. A. Rakow and Associates to proceed with
plans. Motion carried.
Motion by Bolger, seconded by Jackson, to transfer 82,000.00 to Ck.IL241
the McHenry Library. Motion carried.
Motion by Wegener, seconded by Etten, to pay Ray O'Herron Company
invoice in the amount of 61,295.00 in payment of Police Radar equipment. Ck.42b2
Motion carried.
Motion by Jackson, seconded by Bolger, to approve the application
of Mrs. L. C. Fuhrer, McHenry County Chairman, to canvas the residential
area of iicHenry for funds for the National Cystic Fibrosis Research
Foundation August 29 to September 10, 1966. Motion carried.
Motion by Etten, seconded by Bolger, to approve the following:
1. Transfer 81,132.56 from Public Benefit to Golf View Special
Assessment No. 60-C-101 Principal Fund. Ck. #t19L
2. Pay W. A. Rakow and Associates $1,428.16, balance due for
engineering services on Golf View Special Assessment Ck. #193
project.
3. Call 84,000.00 in bonds under Golf View Special Assessment,,#60-C-101.
it. Call $1,000.00 bond under Cooney Heights Special Assessment
No. 63-C-22. Motion carried.
Motion by Smith, seconded by Etten, to adjourn. Motion carried.
