AUGUST 15, 1966
The City Council met in regular semi-monthly meeting with
Mayor Doherty presiding. Aldermen present: Bolger, Conway, Etten,
Jackson, Pitzen, Smith, '.Wegener. Absent: Huck.
Motion by Bolger, seconded by Jackson, to approve the minutes
as read of regular meeting held Aucust 1st. Motion carried.
�..' Motion by Conway, seconded by Etten, to pass and approve an
ordinance vacating a parcel of public road along State Route 120 and 31
lying South of Lots 22 thru 24 in A. P. Freund' s MillStream Park Addition
Unit No. 1 and accept easement agreement from State Products Company.
Motion carried.
Motion by Jackson, seconded by Bolger, to contact Marvin B.
Birchfield, Financial Consultant, for proposal on contemplated bond
issue to cover storm sewer improvements, traffic signal lights and
other improvements. Motion carried.
Motion by Bolger, seconded by Conway, to pass and approve Annual
Tax Levy Ordinance in the amount of $118,075.00. Motion carried.
Motion by Etten, seconded by '+Wegener, to pay salaries, as
presented, to the director and members of the McHenry Band. Motion carried.
Motion by Conway, seconded by Smith, to purchase Ford Falcon
Station Wagon from Buss Ford Saes as per bid of $2,085.00, with larger
engine and automatic transmission as recommended.
Voting "No": Bolger
Voting "Yes": Conway, Etten, Jackson, Pitzen, Smith,Wlegener.
Motion carried.
Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Bolger, to pay Anderson Tree Service
$654.00 for removal of trees. Motion carried. Ck.#4257
Motion by Jackson, seconded by Conway, to grant permission to the
Lake Zurich Children's Home to hold a tag day in McHenry, the date to be
determined by the Mayor and City Clerk. Motion carried.
Motion by Smith, seconded by Jackson, to approve the proposal of
Lakeland Construction Co., Inc. in the amount of $3,188.00 and Engineering
Fees in the amount of $318.80 for construction of sanitary sewer in Hanley's
Third Addition, subject to deposit of funds by property owners in escrow
account, the city to assume engineering cost and other legitimate costs.
Motion carried.
Motion by Etten, seconded by Smith, to adjourn. Motion carried.
