OCTOB ER 3, 1966
The City Council met in regular semi-monthly meeting with
Mayor Doherty presiding. Aldermen present: Bolger, Conway, Etten,
Huck, Jackson, Pitzen, Smith, gener. Absent: None.
Motion by Conway, seconded by Smith, to approve the minutes
of regular meeting held Septamber 19th. Motion carried.
Motion by Huck, seconded by Etten, to approve the treasurer's
report as read. notion carried.
Motion by Jackson, seconded by Smith, to apnrovc the clerk' s
report as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Bolger, seconded by Conway, to pay the following bills
as approved by finance committee: Motion carried.

?,Jotion by Etten, seconded by Pitzen, to deny the petition
of McHenry State Bank as Trustee Under Trust Number 137 and Ladd
&terprises, Inc. For a Change of Zoning Classification, as recommended
by the McHenry Zoning Board of Appeals following hearing of September
9th, 1966.
Voting Aye: Bolger, Conway, Etten, Huck, Jackson, Pitzen,
Smith, ,iegener.
Voting Naye: None
Absent: None
Motion carried.
Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Bolger, to open bids for furnishing
new police car. Motion carried.
The following was the only bid received for furnishing new police
car:
Buss Ford Sales - $51,850.00 plus trade-in of 1965 police car.
Motion by Conway, seconded by Etten, to accept the bid of Buss
Ford Sales on new 1967 police car in the amount of 81,850 plus trade-in
as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Smith, seconded by Jackson, to approve the requests
of the ' ooclstsck Children's Home to hold a Tag Day in the City of McHenry
on October 7 and 8, 1966, and the American Red Cross to hold a Tag Day
in the City of McHenry on Oct. 22, 1966. Motion carried.
Motion by Etten, seconded by Huck, to accent the resignation of
John Leighty as Director of the McHenry Band and direct a letter of
appreciation for his services. Motion carried.
Motion by Huck, seconded by Smith, to adjourn. Motion carried.
