OCTOB1H. 17, 1966
The City Council met in regular semi-monthly meeting with
Mayor Doherty presiding. Aldermen present: Bolger, Conway, Etten,
Huck, Jackson, Pitzen, Smith, Wegener. Absent: None.
Motion by Conway, seconded by Jackson, to approve the minutes
of regular meeting held October 3rd and special meeting October 10th.
Motion carried.
Motion by Smith, seconded by Huck, to direct and authorize the
City Attorney to proceed with the filing of a petition and the conduct
of a hearing for classification of premises along Front Street and other
areas annexed to the city which have not been classified. Motion carried.
Motion by Jackson, seconded by Wegener, to direct the City Attorney
to notify Ladd Enterprises, Inc. to correct nuisance created in area near
Crystal Lake Road where earth was removed and excavation used for washing
out of ready-mix trucks. Motion carried.
Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Bolger, to pay the American National
Bank and Trust Company of Chicago the following due November 1, 1966:
PA-11912 4% Waterworks & Sewer Revenue Bonds
$3,040.00 Interest
10.00 Service Fee Ck. #4033
$3,050.00
PA-17242 4 1/2% Waterworks and Sewer Revenue Bonds

Motion carried.
Motion by Etten, seconded by Conway, to approve designation of
"Industrial Drive" as street name. Motion carried.
Motion by Huck, seconded by Jackson, to accept the retirement
resignation of Richard J. Lemker as Chief of Police, effective November
1st, 1966. Motion carried.
Motion by Conway, seconded by Wegener, to approve Mayor Doherty's
appointment of Richard Clark as Chief of Police as of November 1st, 1966.
Motion carried.
Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Huck, to approve Mayor Doherty' s
appointment of Kenneth Espey as Lieutenant of the police department as of
November 1st, 1966. Motion carried.
Motion by Huck, seconded by Smith, to adjourn. Motion carried.
