HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - 10/19/1966 - City Council REGULAR MEETING DECEMBER 19, 1966 The City Council met in regular semi-monthly meeting with Mayor Doherty presiding. Aldermen present: Bolger, Conway, Etten, Huck, Jackson, Pitzen, Smith, Wegener. Absent: None. Motion by Huck, seconded by Jackson, to approve the minutes of regular meeting held December 5th. Motion carried. Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Etten, to authorize the transfer of $31,575.75 from the General Fund to the Bond and Interest Account and pay the following, due January 1, 1967: PA-11891 2 3/4% Sewer Imp. Ref. Bonds--American Nat'l. Bank and Principal $15,000.00 Trust Company of Chicago Interest 618.75 Ck. #212 Serv.Fee 20.00 $15,638.75 PA 747 44, 42 and 4 3/4% Water Imp. Bonds--National Boulevard Bank of Chicago Principal $10,000.00 Interest 6,200.00 Ck. #213 Serv. Fee 23.50 $16,223.50 Motion carried. Motion by Smith, seconded by Jackson, to pay the following bills: Clark Oil Company $242.53 Ck. # W4A.Rakow and Assoc. $318.00 Ck. #4095 Baxter & Woodman $324.65 Ck. #4096 Motion carried. Motion by Conway, seconded by Bolger, to approve Mayor Doherty's appointment of Daniel J. Kinnerk as a full time policeman and Richard H. Burmann as a part time policeman. Motion carried. Motion by Conway, seconded by Huck, to present each regular city Ck.#4538 employee with a Christmas Gift of $10.00. Motion carried. thru #4556 Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Huck, to pay the law firm of Ross, Hardies, O'Keefe, Babcock, McDugald & Parsons $3500.00 as partial payment Ck. #4560 of legal fees in the Locker Vs. City of McHenry lawsuit. Motion carried. Motion by Bolger, seconded by Huck, to approve a future expenditure of $300.00 to be paid to a Park Planner in developing park area in the Whispering Oaks area. Motion carried.
