THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 6, 1979 8 P.M.
The Public Hearing was called to order by Mayor Stanek
at 8 P.M. for the purpose of considering and acting upon a pro-
posed annexation agreement relating to approximately 125 acres
of land owned by the Gladstones and commonly referred to as the
Falcon Annexation Proceedings.
At roll call the following aldermen were present: Datz,
Pepping, Harker, Wieser, Meurer. Schooley arrived. at 8:25. Ab-
sent: Nolan, Adams.
Also in attendance were: Attorney Bernard Narusis, Sup't
of Public Works Fred Meyer, and Clerk Gilpin, all of the City of
McHenry; Developers Larry and Jerry Falcon, Urban Land Planner Elber
Maiden, Engineer Gary Weiss and Planner Ed Greenberg, all with
Falcon Development Co. ; Objector Walter J. Freund of 1715 N. Riverside
Drive; Petitioner Edward Neumann and his attorney Donald Truckenbrod;
Spectator Joan Kerlow and McHenry Plan Commission member Lynn
Donarski .
Petitioner Jerry Falcon presented a recap of what had
taken place since his company first approached the city on annexa-
tion of the land in question.
The proposed annexation agreement was reviewed page by
page in detail .
Mayor Stanek called for a recess at 9:07 P.M. The meeting
was reconvened at 9:19 P.M. with the following aldermen present:
Schooley, Meurer, Pepping, Harker, Datz, Wieser. Absent: Nolan,
Adams.
Discussion continued on the proposed annexation agreement.
Motion by Harker, seconded by Pepping, to recess this
Public Hearing to Wednesday, September 19, 1979 at 7:30 P.M.
Voting aye: Schooley, Meurer, Pepping, Harker, Datz, Wieser.
Voting nay: None.
Absent: Nolan, Adams.
Motion carried.
