HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - 04/23/1979 - City Council PUBLIC HEARING MONDAY, APRIL 23, 1979 7:30 P.M. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Stanek for the purpose of conducting a budget hearing on the proposed 1979-80 fiscal year control budget to meet Revenue Sharing requirements. At roll call the following aldermen were present: Bolger, Harker, Schooley, Nolan, Smith, Rogers, Datz. Adams arrived at 7:38 P.M. Absent: None. Finance Committee Chairman Datz gave a review of the proposed budget followed by discussion. It was the consensus of opinion that summer help wages should be increased 20 cents a- cross the board from what was proposed. Sup't Meyer was author- ized to hire 16 people for summer help work and if more are need- ed he should make another request. Sgt. Patrick Joyce of the McHenry Police Association addressed the Council to request $500 more per man than what was proposed in the budget as presented. It was also suggested that money be allocated in the bud- get for paying Plan Commission and Zoning Board members . No action was taken.
