The meeting was called to order by Mayor Stanek. At roll call the following aldermen were present: Nolan, Harker, Datz, Smith, Adams , Schooley, Rogers, Bolger. Ab- sent: None. Motion by Datz, seconded by Schooley, to accept the mi- nutes of the January 29, 1979 meeting as read. Voting aye: Nolan, Harker, Datz, Smith, Adams , Schooley, Rogers, Bolger. Voting nay: None. Absent: None. Motion carried. Motion by Harker, seconded by Rogers, to pass a resolu- tion and send it to the McHenry County Board objecting to the grant- ing of a B-1 Zoning Classification by the County to a petition by Dr. Bernard Miller for property at 1614 N. Richmond Road just north of the city limits. Voting aye: Nolan, Harker, Datz, Smith, Adams , Schooley, Rogers. Voting nay: Bolger. Absent: None. Motion carried. Monday, February 5, 1979 page 4 Motion by Rogers, seconded by Schooley, to officially change the street name of Route 120 to Elm Street from the east city limits to the west city limits. Voting aye: Nolan, Harker, Datz, Smith, Adams, Schooley, Rogers. Voting nay: Bolger. Absent: None. Motion carried. Motion by Harker, seconded by Datz, to pay Torkelson Lincoln-Mercury $20,340.76 for four squad cars as per the low bid previously submitted and the city is to submit a check to Torkelson for the one damaged squad car when reimbursement is received from offender's insurance company. Voting aye: Nolan, Harker, Datz, Smith, Adams, Schooley, Rogers, Bolger. Voting nay: None. Absent: None. Motion carried. Motion by Harker, seconded by Rogers, to authorize im- mediate replacement of the hydraulic drive unit on the Worthington Sewage grinder as recommended by Baxter & Woodman. Voting aye: Nolan, Harker, Datz, Smith, Adams, Rogers, Schooley, Bolger. Voting nay: None. Absent: None. Motion carried. Motion by Adams, seconded by Nolan, to pass a resolution appointing Sup't of Public Works Fred J. Meyers to serve as the City's representative in connection with the FDAA (Federal Dis- aster Assistance Administration) Project. Voting aye: Nolan, Harker, Datz, Smith, Adams, Rogers, Schooley, Bolger. Voting nay: None. Absent: None. Motion carried. Monday, February 5, 1979 page 5 Mayor Stanek announced that a Committee Meeting Whole will be held Wednesday, February 14, 1979 at 7:30 p.m. for the purpose of discussion on the proposed community center. Motion by Smith, seconded by Adams, to adjourn. Voting aye: Nolan, Harker, Datz, Smith, Adams, Rogers, Schooley, Bolger. Voting nay: None. Absent: None. Motion carried.
