WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 18, 1978 8 P.M.
Mayor Stanek reconvened the recessed Informal Hearing and Joint
Conference of August 16, 1978 concerning the annexation proposal of
Falcon Development on Wednesday, October 18, 1978 at 8 P.M. At roll call
the following aldermen were present: Nolan, Harker, Datz, Rogers.
Smith arrived at 8:08 P.M. and Bolger arrived at 8:27 P.M. Absent:
Adams, Schooley.
Plan Commission member present: Bill Thomas. Absent: Pepping,
Martin, Davis, Wedekind, Eckstein, Toole, Bunting, Meurer, Schwegel, Cole.
Zoning Board of Appeals members present: Chairman Wilkins, Fouse. Absent:
Kauss, Blake, Williams, Cuda.
Also present: Dr. Hal Sundin of Baxter & Woodman, City Attorney
Bernard Narusis, Supt. Meyer, Clerk Gilpin and Jerry and Larry Falcon of
Falcon Development.
Jerry Falcon addressed the Council and reviewed the Planned Unit
Development of 125 acres of land directly north of the City limits between
Route 31 and Riverside Drive. He pointed to specific variations he would
request and what improvements he could offer as requested by the Council
at the August 16, 1978 meeting.
Mayor Stanek appointed a special committee and authorized it to
arrange a meeting with McHenry Township Road Commissioner Clarence Regener
to discuss reconstruction of Riverside Drive from the northern city limits
to the recently reconstruction portion of Riverside Drive. Bolger was
appointed chairman. Harker and Datz will also serve on the special committee.
Following discussion between the developer and the Council, Smith
made a motion, seconded by Rogers to recess the Joint Conference to a date
to be determined later.
Voting Aye: Nolan, Harker, Datz, Rogers, Smith, Bolger.
Voting Nay: None.
Absent: Adams, Schooley.
Meeting recessed at 9:43 P.M.
