The Special Council Meeting of the recessed Combined Conference and Informal Hearing on the annexation proposal of John W. Fritsch for 480 acres of property on Crystal Lake Road was called to order by Mayor Stanek. On roll call the following aldermen were present: Harker, Datz, Smith, Adams, Schooley. Rogers arrived at 7:45 P.M. and Nolan at 7:48 P.M. Absent: Bolger. Also present: Plan Commission Members Pepping, Martin, Cole and Thomas. Absent: Toole, Wedekind, Schwegel, Eckstein, Meurer, Commerio, Bunting. Zoning Board Member Wilkins was present: Absent: Cuda, Claypool, Fouse, Williams, Kauss and Blake. In attendance for the petitioner were: John W. Fritsch, owner; William Serra, Continental Bank of Chicago; Edward Ziscok and James Goodman, Architects and planners; Thomas McCabe, civil engineer and Attorney James Green. Attorney Green explained that the petitioners would be filing an amended Petition and come in for straight annexation rather than the originally proposed Planned Unit Development. They would then go to the Zoning Board for classification of various sections of the annexed property. Mayor Stanek asked if there were any objectors present and no one replied. Following discussion, these dates were tenatively set for further action on the annexation proposal: June 8 - Plan Commission; August 2 - Zoning Board of Appeals; September 20 - Special Council Meeting on the annexation agreement. Motion by Harker, seconded by Datz, to adjourn. Voting Aye: Harker, Datz, Smith, Adams, Schooley, Rogers, Nolan. Voting Nay: None. Absent: Bolger. Motion carried.
