Mayor Stanek called a Special Meeting of the City Council, Zoning Board of Appeals and Plan Commission to order at 7:37 P.M. for the purpose of discussion on an Amendment to the Pre-annexation Agreement on 138 acres of land north of the city known as McHenry Lakes Estates, formerly the Jake Freund Farm. On roll call, the following were present: Aldermen Bolger, Nolan, Harker, Datz, Smith, Adams, Schooley, Rogers. Absent: None. Also present: Zoning Board of Appeals members Fouse, Blake, Claypool, Cuda. Absent: Wilkins, Kauss, Williams. Plan Commission members present: Pepping, Martin, Meurer, Cole. Absent: Bunting, Schwegel, Eckstein, Toole, Wedekind, Thomas, Comerio. Attorney James Green of the law firm of Joslyn & Green represented Developers Howard Orleans and Milfred Towne who proposed the Amendment to the original pre-annexation agreement dated May 1, 1972. Pastor Gerald Robertson and Lon Smith of the Alliance Bible Church and Richard Johnson, also named in the petition, were present at the meeting. Mayor Stanek recessed the Special Meeting at 7:59 P.M. and turned the matter over to the Zoning Board of Appeals. That Board immediately conducted a Zoning Hearing on the matter. The Special Meeting was reconvened at 9:35 P.M. On roll call the following aldermen were present: Bolger, Nolan, Harker, Datz, Smith, Adams, Schooley, Rogers. Absent: None. Motion by Nolan, seconded by Smith, to continue the Special Meeting on the Amendment to the Pre-Annexation agreement for McHenry Lakes Estates to June 7 , 1978 at 8 P.M. Voting Aye: Bolger, Nolan, Harker, Datz, Smith, Adams, Schooley, Rogers. Voting Nay: None. Absent: None. Motion carried. Thursday, April 13, 1978 Page 2 The matter of a proposal for annexation of 320 acres of land north of Route 120 and west of Ringwood Road known as the Richard Anderson- Clinton Martin property, was presented to the Council by Attorney James Green. Present at the meeting were Mrs. Ferol Tomlinson representing the Martins and Tom Harding prospective developer of the property. Motion by Rogers, seconded by Schooley, to invite Martin-Anderson to file a petition for a pre-annexation agreement. Voting Aye: Bolger, Nolan, Harker, Datz, Smith, Adams, Schooley, Rogers. Voting Nay: None. Absent: None. Motion carried. Motion by Smith, seconded by Adams, to adjourn. Voting Aye: Bolger, Nolan, Harker, Datz, Smith, Adams, Schooley, Rogers. Voting Nay: None.
