The meeting was called to order by Mayor Stanek. At roll call the following aldermen were present: Rogers, Bolger, Nolan, Harker, Datz, Smith, Adams, Schooley. Motion by Adams, seconded by Nolan, to pass the minutes of the February 20, 1978 meeting as read. Voting Aye: Rogers, Bolger, Nolan, Harker, Datz, Smith, Adams, Schooley. Voting Nay: None. Absent: None. Motion carried. Motion by Rogers, seconded by Schooley, to allocate the following amounts for Revenue Sharing Funds for fiscal year 1978-79: Community Center $17 ,896.00 Library 2,000.00 McHenry Rescue Squad 3,000.00 Mosquito Abatement 2,000.00 Traffic Relief 6,200.00 Alternate School 1,500.00 Green Street Parking Lot 20,000.00 Lake, Beach, Dredging or 10,000.00 Park Improvements TOTAL $62,596.00 Voting Aye: Rogers, Bolger, Nolan, Harker, Datz, Smith, Adams, Schooley. Voting Nay: None. Absent: None. Motion carried. Motion by Bolger, seconded by Datz, to approve the preliminary plat for Glacier Ridge Unit 2 as recommended by the Plan Commission. Monday, March 6, 1978 Page 4 Motion by Rogers, seconded by Adams, to pass a resolution requesting that Washington Street be included on the Federal Aid Urban (FAU) System map. Motion by Smith, seconded by Datz, to enter into a Cooperative Agreement with McHenry County Department of Health for Animal Control in the City of McHenry through December 31, 1979. Voting Aye: Rogers, Bolger, Nolan, Harker, Datz, Smith, Adams, Schooley. Voting Nay: None. Absent: None. Motion carried. Motion by Adams, seconded by Rogers to accept a petition in behalf of 131 residents of the Millstream Subdivision urging the Council not to allow overnight parking of Chicago-Northwestern Commuter trains north of Route 120, and to include the petition in city records. Voting Aye: Rogers, Bolger, Nolan, Harker, Datz, Smith, Adams, Schooley. Voting Nay: None. Absent: None. Motion carried. Motion by Schooley, seconded by Harker, to approve the hiring of two reserve crossing guards. Voting Aye: Rogers, Bolger, Nolan, Harker, Datz, Smith, Adams, Schooley. Voting Nay: None. Absent: None. Monday, March 6, 1978 Page 5 Motion by Harker, seconded by Datz, to authorize the Chief of Police to purchase 25 weapons for the police department from the Constable Equipment Company of Downers Grove for $2,797.00. Voting Aye: Rogers, Bolger, Nolan, Harker, Datz, Smith, Adams, Schooley. Voting Nay: None. Absent: None. Motion carried. Motion by Harker, seconded by Nolan, to publish the ordinance amending the Subdivision Control Ordinance passed tonight in pamphlet form. Motion by Rogers, seconded by Adams, to authorize the following tag days: VFW Poppy Day on May 13; Salvation Army Donut Day on June 9; Johnsburg Pigtail League on May 20; Helping Paws on August 26.
