RIVER ROAD TO THE CITY OF MCHENRY, MCHENRY COUNTY, ILLINOIS WHEREAS, a written petition signed under oath by the legal owner of record of the real estate hereinafter described has been filed with the City Clerk of the City of McHenry, requesting that said real estate be annexed to the City of McHenry; and WHEREAS, no electors reside on said real estate, said real estate is contiguous to the corporate limits of the City of McHenry, and is not located within any other municipality; and WHEREAS, said real estate will not be disconnected from any public library district or fire protection district, therefore, notice is not required to be given to those authorities; and WHEREAS, said real estate includes right-of-way which is not currently under the jurisdiction of the City of McHenry, therefore, notice of the annexation has been served to the Township Commissioner of Highways and the Board of Township Trustees by certified mail; and i WHEREAS, the City of McHenry has determined that the annexation of said real estate is in the best interest of the City. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MCHENRY, MCHENRY COUNTY, ILLINOIS AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: The real estate legally described below and depicted on Exhibit A, a complete and accurate plat of said real estate attached to this ordinance and incorporated herein by reference, be and the same is hereby annexed to and made a part of the corporate limits of the City of McHenry, including any and all portions of adjacent street, 1 roads or highways as required by law. SECTION 2: The City Clerk is hereby directed to cause a certified copy of this ordinance, together with said plat, to be recorded in the Office of the Recorder of Deeds of McHenry County, Illinois. Following the recordation of this ordinance and plat, a copy thereof shall be filed in the Office of the Clerk of McHenry County, Illinois. SECTION 3: This Ordinance shall be published in pamphlet form by and under the 3 authority of the corporate authorities of the City of McHenry, McHenry County, Illinois. SECTION 4: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval, and publication in pamphlet form as provided by law.
