MONDAY, APRIL 18, 1977 7:33 P.M.
Called by Mayor Stanek for the purpose of discussing summer help
employment.
Mayor Stanek called the meeting to order. Present were Alderman
Harker, Pepping, Smith, Schaedel. Wegener and Datz arrived at 7:40 P.M.
Absent: Bolger, Hromec.
Supt. of Public Works Fred Meyer presented a list of applicants.
After Discussion, it was generally agreed to hire the following boys:

MONDAY, APRIL 18, 1977 8 P.M.
The City Council met in regular meeting with Mayor Stanek presiding.
At roll call the following aldermen were present: Pepping, Harker, Datz,
Smith, Wegener, Hromec, Schaedel. Absent: Bolger.
Motion by Harker, seconded by Wegener to approve the minutes of the
April 4, 1977 meeting as read.
Voting Aye: Pepping, Harker, Datz, Smith, Wegener, Hromec, Schaedel.
Voting Nay: None.
Absent: Bolger.
Motion carried.
Mayor Stanek read a letter of resignation from Charles M. Adams who has
served as a member of the Zoning Board of Appeals. He nominated Suzanne
Kauss to fill the vacancy and complete Adams' unexpired term which ends 4-30-81.
Motion by Hromec, seconded by Datz, to approve the Mayor's appointment
of Ms. Kauss to the Zoning Board of Appeals.
Voting Aye: Pepping, Harker, Datz, Smith, Wegener, Hromec, Schaedel.
Voting Nay: None.
Absent: Bolger.
Motion carried.
Motion by Smith, seconded by Harker to approve Preliminary Plat No. 2-
Second Phase, for Brittany Park as presented by Rob Robinson of Brittany
Builders.
Voting Aye: Pepping, Harker, Datz, Smith, Wegener
Voting Nay: Hromec, Schaedel.
Absent: Bolger.
Motion carried.
Motion by Hromec, seconded by Schaedel, to concur with the Zoning Board

of Appeals recommendation and pass the ordinance regarding the request of
William and Vivian Richards for an amendment to the zoing ordinance.
Voting Aye: Pepping, Harker. Datz, Smith, Wegener, Hromec, Schaedel.
Voting Nay: None.
Absent: Bolger.

Motion by Harker, seconded by Pepping, to accept the final plat of
Boone Valley No. 11 as presented by Jim Berg and Willis Martin of
Residential Development Group, Inc. conditional upon the receipt of
1. a letter of irrevocable credit, 2. a full engineering report --�
3. a designation of public streets and easements.
Voting Aye: Pepping, Harker, Datz, Smith, Wegener, Hromec, Schaedel.
Voting Nay: None.
Absent: Bolger.
Motion carried.
Motion by Pepping, seconded by Harker to pass a resolution sup-
porting the McHenry County Defenders in their endeavor to have the
Illinois House of Representatives adopt the Illinois Beverage Container
Act.
Voting Aye: Pepping, Harker, Datz, Smith, Wegener, Hromec, Schaedel.
Voting Nay: None.
Absent: Bolger.

Motion by Wegener, seconded by Smith to set June 10 as a tag day
for the Salvation Army and June 18 for a Helping Paws tag day.

Motion by Pepping, seconded by Wegener to pass a resolution urging
our legislators not to approve House Bill 2.

of the Committee Meeting of the Whole and hire the following boys for
