At roll call the following aldermen were present: Bolger, Pepping, Harker, i Datz, Wegener, Smith, Hromec, Schaedel . Absent: None. Motion by Harker, seconded by Bolger, to approve minutes of May 3, 1976 meeting as read. Voting "Aye": Bolger, Pepping, Harker, Datz, Wegener, Smith, Hromec, Schaedel . Voting "Nay": None. Absent: None. Motion carried. Motion by Wegener, seconded by Datz, to defer action until next regular meeting regarding Chamber of Commerce request for closing two streets on July 31st and August 21st. Voting "Aye": Bolger, Pepping, Harker, Datz, Wegener, Smith. Voting "Nay": Hromec, Schaedel . Absent: None. Motion carried. Motion by Bolger, seconded by Harker, to make donation of $1,000.00 to Chamber of Commerce for Bi-Centennial Fiesta Days. Voting "Aye": Bolger, Pepping, Harker, Datz, Wegener, Smith, Hromec, Schaedel . Voting "Nay": None. Absent: None. Motion carried. Motion by Bolger, seconded by Datz, to grant Class "A" liquor license to Selvaggio's Indian Manor, Inc. and to amend ordinance (MC-94) changing total number of Class "A" licenses to (18) eighteen. Voting "Aye": Bolger, Pepping, Harker, Datz, Wegener, Smith, Hromec, Schaedel . Voting "Nay": None. Absent: None. Motion carried. Voting "Aye": Bolger, Pepping, Harker, Datz, Wegener, Smith , Hromec, Schaedel. Voting "Nay" : None. Absent: None. Motion carried. The following bids were received for squad cars: Buss Ford Sales $3,475.00 per car or total of $13,900.00 Alternate bid of $3,695.00 per car or total of $14,780.00 Payton Chevrolet, Inc. $3,565.00 per car or total of $14,260.00 Torkelson Lincoln/Mercury $13,980. 12 Total Motion by Hromec, seconded by Harker to accept bid of Torkelson, Lincoln/Mercury for four (4) 1976 Montego Fordors at total cost of $13,980. 12. The following bids were received for 3/4 Ton Four Wheel Drive Truck: Buss Ford Sales $5,300.00 for 4 speed transmission $5,560.00 for automatic transmission Payton Chevrolet, Inc. $5,325.00 for 4 speed transmission $5,454.00 for automatic transmission Motion by Smith, seconded by Wegener, to accept bid of Payton Chev- rolet, Inc. for 1976 3/4 Ton Four Wheel Drive truck with automatic transmission at total cost of $5,454.00. Motion by Pepping to put janitors on a contract basis effective June 1, 1976. There being no second, motion did not carry. Mayor Stanek advised the finance committee to contact janitors and come back with information in one month. Motion by Pepping, seconded by Datz, to designate the following Planned Expenditure for Anticipated General Revenue Sharing payment of $62,564.00 for the Seventh Entitlement Period July 1, 1976 through December 31, 1976: May 17, 1976 Page Five Health - Mosquito Abatement $10,000.00 Other - Traffic Relief 52,564.00 Voting "Aye": Bolger, Pepping, Harker, Datz, Wegener, Smith, Hromec, Schaedel. Voting "Nay": None Absent: None. Motion carried. Motion by Smith, seconded by Harker, to instruct Sup't. Meyer to purchase transmission jack at price not to exceed $600.00. Voting "Aye": Bolger, Pepping, Harker, Datz, Wegener, Smith, Hromec, Schaedel. Voting "Nay": None. Absent: None. Motion carried. Motion by Wegener, seconded by Pepping, to grant permission to John Ruzicka to go door to door to sharpen knives and mower blades. Voting "Aye": Bolger, Pepping, Harker, Datz, Wegener, Smith, Hromec, Schaedel. Voting "Nay": None. Absent: None. Motion carried. Motion by Smith, seconded by Harker, to authorize City Clerk to purchase Illinois Revised Statutes books. Voting "Aye": Bolger, Pepping, Harker, Datz, Wegener, Smith, Hromec, Schaedel.
