April 21 , 1975 -- 8 p.m.
The City Council met in regular meeting with Mayor Stanek
presiding. At roll call the following aldermen were present: Bolger,
Datz, Harker, Howard, Hromec, Pepping, Rogers, Wegener. Absent: None.
Motion by Harker, seconded by Bolger, to approve the minutes
of the April 7, 1975, meeting, as read.
Voting "Aye": Bolger, Datz, Harker, Howard, Hromec,
Pepping, Rogers, Wegener.
Voting "Nay": None.
Absent: None.
Motion carried.
Motion by Harker, seconded by Rogers, to grant the request
of McHenry Council Knights of Columbus to sponsor "Tootsie Roll Day"
Nov. 1 , 1975, to assist mentally retarded children.
Voting "Aye": Bolger, Datz, Harker, Howard, Hromec,
Pepping, Rogers, Wegener.
Voting "Nay": None.
Absent: None.
Motion carried.
Motion by Rogers, seconded by Harker, to grant the request
of the Lakeland Park Boys and Girls Baseball Club to hold a Tag Day in
the City on August 2, 1975.
Voting "Aye": Bolger, Datz, Harker, Howard, Hromec,
Pepping, Rogers, Wegener.
Voting "Nay": None.
Absent: None.
Motion carried.
Motion by Harker, seconded by Wegener, to authorize the
Mayor to sign contract with the Police Service Bureau concerning
consultant service in installation of equipment in the Police Dept.

Pepping, Rogers, Wegener.
Voting "Nay": None.

Motion by Datz, seconded by Hromec, to pay Joseph Frett

and Son, Inc. $5,661 .00 on contract for construction of addition to
the City Hall .

Motion carried.
Motion by Bolger, seconded by Harker, to authorize the
Superintendent of Public Works to purchase metal building and
necessary equipment for use at water well adjacent to the City Hall .

Motion carried.
Motion by Hromec, seconded by Harker, to pass An Ordinance
Amending Chapter 14 of the Municipal Code by adding thereto Article XI
relating to fences.

rental for each polling place.

Motion carried.
The clerk announced that the judges of election in each Ward
had duly delivered the ballots, returns and tally sheets in connection
with the election for city officials held on the 15th day of April , 1975.
Motion by Rogers, seconded by Howard, that the clerk open and
read the return.
Voting "Aye": Bolger, Datz, Harker, Howard, Hromec,
Pepping, Rogers , Wegener.
Voting "Nay": None.
Absent: None.
Motion carried.
The clerk then opened and read the return which showed the
following votes cast for persons indicated:
For Alderman Ward No. 1 :

For Alderman Ward No. 2:

For Alderman Ward No. 3:

Alderman Rogers then presented the following resolution:
The returns of the election held on the 15th day of April ,
1975, having been duly made to the clerk, and having been canvassed
in open meeting, now therefore be it resolved that William J. Bolger
be declared to have been elected Alderman of the First Ward;

George L. Harker be declared elected Alderman of the Second Ward;
Raymond L. Smith be declared elected Alderman of the Third Ward;
Walter E.I. Schaedel be declared elected Alderman of the Fourth Ward.
Motion by Pepping, seconded by Datz, to pass the resolution.
Voting "Aye": Bolger, Datz, Harker, Howard, Hromec,
Pepping, Rogers, Wegener.
Voting "Nay": None.
Absent: None.
