At roll call the following aldermen were present: Bolger, Datz, Harker, Howard, Hromec, Pepping, Rogers, Wegener. Absent: None. Motion by Harker, seconded by Wegener, to approve the minutes of the Jan. 20, 1975, meeting, as read. Voting "Aye": Bolger, Datz, Harker, Howard, Hromec, Pepping, Rogers, Wegener. Voting "Nay": None. Absent: None. Motion carried. Motion by Rogers, seconded by Datz, to approve the Treasurer's Report for the month of January, 1975, as read. Voting "Aye": Bolger, Datz, Harker, Howard, Hromec, Pepping, Rogers, Wegener. Voting "Nay" : None. Absent: None. Motion carried. Motion by Harker, seconded by Wegener, to approve the Clerk's Report for the month of January, 1975, as read. Voting "Aye": Bolger, Datz, Harker, Howard, Hromec, Pepping, Rogers, Wegener. Voting "Nay": None. Absent" None. Motion carried. Mayor Stanek appointed James A. Fouse as a member of the Zoning Board of Appeals. Motion by Datz, seconded by Bolger, to accept the appointment of James A. Fouse as a member of the Zoning Board of Appeals. Voting "Aye°: Bolger, Datz, Harker, Howard, Hromec, Pepping, Rogers, Wegener. Voting Nay: None. Absent: None. Motion carried. February 3, 1975 Page Two Motion by Harker, seconded by Pepping, to donate $25.00 to #G7746 the Christian Science Society of McHenry in memory of Frederic Lamb who served as Chairman of the Zoning Board of Appeals. Voting "Aye": Bolger, Datz, Harker, Howard, Hromec, Pepping, Rogers, Wegener. Voting "Nay": None. Absent: None. Motion carried. Motion by Rogers, seconded by Bolger, to make application for a Special Federal Census of the population in the City. Voting "Aye": Bolger, Datz, Harker, Howard, Hromec, Pepping, Rogers, Wegener. Voting "Nay": None. Absent: None. Motion carried. Motion by Pepping, seconded by Harker, to authorize Alderman Datz to represent the City Council , Plan Commission, and Zoning Board at the McHenry County Zoning hearing Feb. 13, 1975, in the matter of the application of Material Service Corporation, Leo Diedrich and Evelyn Diedrich for conditional use permit for the mining and processing of sand and gravel , and to go on record as opposing the petition. Voting "Aye": Bolger, Datz, Harker, Howard, Hromec, Pepping, Rogers , Wegener. Voting "Nay": None. Absent: None. Motion carried. Motion by Rogers, seconded by Harker, to authorize expenditure of approximately $1 ,000.00 to purchase pump and equipment for use at the Sewage Treatment Plant to pump final effluent water for uses except domestic use. Voting "Aye": Bolger, Datz, Harker, Howard, Hromec, Pepping, Rogers, Wegener. Voting "Nay": None. Absent: None. Motion carried. Voting "Aye": Bolger, Datz, Harker, Howard, Hromec, Pepping, Rogers, Wegener. Voting "Nay": None. Absent: None. Motion carried. Motion by Howard, seconded by Wegener, to return to Regular Session. Voting "Aye": Bolger, Datz, Harker, Howard, Hromec, Pepping, Rogers, Wegener. Voting "Nay": None. Absent: None. Motion carried. Motion by Rogers, seconded by Harker, to engage the services of Thomas J. Peters to appraise the value of proposed parking area west of Green St. and South of Elm St. , the appraised to cover the entire parcel , then broken down to cover the proposed parking area separate from the remaining area. Upon roll call , the following vote was recorded: Bolger-AYE; Datz-AYE; Harker-AYE; Howard-AYE; Hromec-NAY; Pepping-AYE; Rogers-AYE; Wegener-AYE. There being 7 "AYE" votes and 1 "NAY" vote, the Mayor declared the motion carried. Motion by Howard, seconded by Wegener, to adjourn.
