AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING 2806 W. ROUTE 120
TO THE CITY OF MCHENRY, MCHENRY COUNTY, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, a written petition signed under oath by the legal owners of record of the
real estate hereinafter described has been filed with the City Clerk of the City of McHenry,
requesting that said real estate be annexed to the City of McHenry; and
WHEREAS, no electors reside on said real estate, said real estate is contiguous to
the corporate limits of the City of McHenry, and is not located within any other municipality;
and
WHEREAS, said real estate will not be disconnected from any public library district
or fire protection district, and does not include any right-of-way not currently within the City
of McHenry, therefore, notice is not required to be given to those legal entities as
designated in the statutes; and
WHEREAS, upon annexation, said real estate will receive a zoning class cation of
E, Estate District, pursuant to Article 11), Section D, of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of
McHenry, but that upon annexation, the owner will promptly file all materials necessary in
request that said real estate be rezoned C-5, Highway Commercial; and
WHEREAS, the City of McHenry has determined that the annexation of said real
estate is in the best interest of the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF MCHENRY, MCHENRY COUNTY, ILLINOIS AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The real estate legally described on "Exhibit A" and depicted on
"Exhibit B", a complete and accurate plat of said real estate attached to this ordinance and
incorporated herein by reference, be and the same is hereby annexed to and made a part

of the corporate limits of the City of McHenry, including any and all portions of adjacent
street, roads or highways as required by law.
SECTION 2: The City Clerk is hereby directed to cause a certified copy of this
ordinance, together with said plat, to be recorded in the Office of the Recorder of Deeds,
McHenry County, Illinois. Following the recordation of this ordinance and exhibits, a copy
thereof shall be filed in the Office of the Clerk of McHenry County, Illinois.
SECTION 3: This Ordinance shall be published in pamphlet form by and under the
authority of the corporate authorities of the City of McHenry, McHenry County, Illinois.
SECTION 4: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage, approval, and publication in pamphlet form as provided by law.

EXHIBIT A
That part of the Southeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 25, and that part of
the Northeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 36, Township 45 North, Range
8 East of the Third Principal Meridian, described as follows: Commencing at the intersection
of the West line of the Northeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of said Section 36, with
the centerline of Illinois Route 120; thence Southeasterly along said centerline, 102.75 feet
to the place of beginning of this description; thence Northeasterly at right angles to the last
described line, 220.0 feet; thence Southeasterly at right angles to the last described line,
110.0 feet; thence Southwesterly at right angles to the last described line, 220.0 feet to the
centerline of said Illinois Route 120; thence Northwesterly along said centerline, 110.0 feet
to the place of beginning, in McHenry County, Illinois. (Excepting the Southerly 50.0 feet
of that part within the right-of-way of Illinois Route 120).
