RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Finance and Personnel Committee of the McHenry City Council
has reviewed and considered current water and sewer rates; and
WHEREAS, the Finance and Personnel Committee has determined that the
current fees charged for water and sewer service do not support the actual cost of repairs,
maintenance and replacement of water and sewer public infrastructure; and
WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Finance and Personnel Committee
to increase the water and sewer usage fees to more accurately reflect the cost to repair,
replace and maintain the components of the existing water and sewer systems.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council of
the City of McHenry, Illinois, that the following rates shall be in effect as of September
1, 2008:
User rates in corporate limits:
Water
$2.40/1000 gallons
Sewer
$2.71/1000 gallons
User rates outside corporate limits:
Water
$3.60/1000 gallons
Sewer
$4.07/1000 gallons
Sewer ]Flat rate/Basic User Fee
Sewer
$27.16
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution shall be made a
permanent parr: of the City Council minutes.
