I, Pamela J. Althoff, City Clerk in and for the City of
McHenry, Illinois, and keeper of the official records, files, and
seal thereof, do hereby certify that the attached document is a
true and correct copy of Ordinance No. 0-97-836, authorizing the
Annexation of the property located at 2102 North Richmond Road,
McHenry County, Illinois, passed by the City Council of the City of
McHenry, Illinois, at a regular meeting of said Council held on the:
1st day of October, 1997, and the same was signed and approved by
the Mayor of said City on the 6th day of October, 1997.

ORDINANCE NO. 0-97-836
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE
ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN DESCRIBED REAL
ESTATE TO THE CITY OF MC HENRY, MC HENRY
COUNTY, ILLINOIS.
WHEREAS, JOHN T. COLOMER is the record owner of the real estate hereinafter
described; and
WHEREAS, no electors reside on said real estate; and
WHEREAS, said real estate is contiguous to the existing corporate limits of the City of
McHenry, Illinois, and is not located within any other municipality and the aforesaid record owners
and contract purchaser desire annexation of said real estate and have petitioned the corporate
authorities of the City of McHenry, Illinois, in writing and under oath, for annexation of said real
estate; and
WHEREAS, said real estate is not a part of any public library district and will not be
disconnected from any fire protection district and therefore statutory notice is not required to be
given to those legal entities designated in the statutes; and
WHEREAS, the Corporate Authorities for and on behalf of the City of McHenry, McHenry
County, Illinois, have heretofore approved an Annexation Agreement bearing the date of October
1 , 1997, between itself and JOHN T. COLOMER , which provides for the annexation of said
real estate to the existing corporate limits of the City of McHenry, McHenry County, Illinois, for the
classification of said real estate under the provisions of the City of McHenry Zoning Ordinance;
WHEREAS, upon proper notice, public hearings were held pursuant to State statute and the

appropriate provisions of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of McHenry relative to the Petitioners'
request.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF MC HENRY, MC HENRY COUNTY, ILLINOIS, as follows:
SECTION 1: The following described real estate be and the same is hereby annexed to
and made a part of the corporate limits of the City of McHenry, Illinois, including any and all
portions of adjacent streets, roads, or highways as required by law:
The South 300 Feet of that part of Lot 5 of the County Clerk's Plat of parts of Sections 22
and 23 in Township 45 North, Range 8 East of the Third principal Meridian, described as
follows: Beginning at the Southwest corner of the Southeast Quarter of Section 23; thence
East on the Quarter Line, 27 Rods; thence North 30 Rods and 12 Feet; thence West 27 Rods
to the West Line of said Quarter; thence South along the said Quarter Line to the place of
beginning, according to the Plat thereof recorded May 6, 1902 as Document No. 14082 in
Book 2 of Plats, Page 34, in McHenry County, Illinois.
PIN: Part of 09-23-400-003. Hereinafter referred to as "Premises".
That a Plat of Annexation of said real estate is attached hereto and made a part hereof as
Exhibit "A".
SECTION 2: The City Clerk is hereby directed to cause a certified copy of this
Ordinance together with said Plat of Annexation to be recorded in the Office of the Recorder of
Deeds, McHenry County, Illinois. Following the recordation of this Ordinance and said Plat of
Annexation of the real estate above described and annexed, a copy thereof shall be filed in the Office
of the Clerk of McHenry County, Illinois.
SECTION 3: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage and approval according to law.
