AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN
DESCRIBED REAL ESTATE TO THE CITY OF McHENRY, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, Healthbridge Corporation, an Illinois not -for profit corporation
("Healthbridge"), is the record owner of the real estate hereinafter described; and
WHEREAS, two electors reside on the real estate hereinafter described: William P.
Gregory and Mary Gregory, 615 South Route 31, McHenry, Illinois, which electors have consented
to Healthbridge's petition for annexation of the real estate hereinafter described; and
WHEREAS, said real estate is contiguous to the existing corporate limits of the City of
McHenry, Illinois, and is not located within any other municipality; and
WHEREAS, the land to be annexed will not be disconnected from any fire protection
district nor public library district and does not front on a township road. Therefore, statutory notice
is not required to be given to those legal entities designated in the statutes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE, CITY
OF McHENRY, McHENRY COUNTY, ILLINOIS, as follows:
Section 1. The following described real estate shall automatically be annexed to and
made a part of the corporate limits of the City of McHenry, Illinois, including any and all portions of
adjacent streets, roads, or highway as required by law, as of April 2, 1997, which is one day
following a general election within 60 days of the date of this Ordinance:
A TRACT OF LAND DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS: BEGINNING ON THE WEST
LINE OF SECTION 2, TOWNSHIP 44 NORTH, RANGE 8 EAST OF THE THIRD
PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN, AT A POINT 400.3 FEET SOUTH FROM THE
NORTHWEST CORNER OF THE SOUTHWEST QUARTER OF SAID SECTION
2; THENCE EASTERLY ON A LINE FORMING AN ANGLE OF 90 DEGREES
AND 35 MINUTES TO THE LEFT WITH A PROLONGATION OF THE LAST
DESCRIBED LINE, 691.95 FEET TO THE WESTERLY BOUNDARY OF THE
HIGHWAY KNOWN AS STATE ROUTE 31; THENCE SOUTHWESTERLY
ALONG THE WESTERLY BOUNDARY OF SAID HIGHWAY, 135.24 FEET;
THENCE WESTERLY IN A STRAIGHT LINE 654.73 FEET TO A POINT ON
THE WEST LINE OF SAID SECTION, 129.54 FEET SOUTH FROM THE
AFORESAID PLACE OF BEGINNING; THENCE NORTH 129.54 FEET TO THE
PLACE OF BEGINNING, TOGETHER WITH ALL THAT PART OF STATE
ROUTE 31 LYING EAST OF AND ADJOINING THE AFOREDESCRIBED
TRACT OF LAND, IN MCHENRY COUNTY, ILLINOIS.
AND
THAT PART OF THE SOUTHWEST QUARTER OF SECTION 2, TOWNSHIP 44
NORTH, RANGE 8 EAST OF THE THIRD PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN.,
DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS: BEGINNING ON THE WEST LINE OF SAID

SECTION 2 AT A POINT 529.84 FEET SOUTH FROM THE NORTHWEST
CORNER OF SAID SOUTHWEST QUARTER; THENCE EASTERLY ON A
LINE FORMING AN ANGLE OF 90 DEGREES 35 MINUTES TO THE LEFT
WITH A PROLONGATION OF THE LAST DESCRIBED LINE, FOR A
DISTANCE OF 654.73 FEET TO THE WESTERLY BOUNDARY OF THE
HIGHWAY KNOWN AS STATE ROUTE 31; THENCE SOUTHWESTERLY
ALONG THE WESTERLY BOUNDARY OF SAID HIGHWAY, 143.14 FEET;
THENCE WESTERLY 615.31 FEET IN A STRAIGHT LINE TO A POINT ON
THE WEST LINE OF SAID SECTION, 137.16 FEET SOUTH FROM THE
AFORESAID PLACE OF BEGINNING; THENCE NORTH 137.16 FEET TO THE
PLACE OF BEGINNING, TOGETHER WITH ALL THAT PART OF STATE,
ROUTE 31 LYING EAST OF AND ADJOINING THE AFOREDESCRIBED
TRACT OF LAND, IN MCHENRY COUNTY, ILLINOIS.
That an accurate map of said territory is attached hereto as Exhibit "A".
Section 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to cause an accurate map of the real estate
described and annexed, to be prepared or obtained, and when satisfied as to the accuracy of said
map, record the map and a certified copy of this Ordinance in the office of the Recorder of Deeds,
McHenry County, Illinois. Following the recordation of this Ordinance and the map of the real
estate above described and annexed, a copy thereof shall be filed in the Office of the Clerk of
McHenry County, Illinois.
Section 3. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage
and approval as provided by law.
