AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ANNEXATION
OF CERTAIN TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF McHENRY
(BEING PROPERTY EAST OF AND ADJACENT TO 3112 W. LINCOLN ROAD,
McHENRY,ILLINOIS COMMONLY KNOWN AS WATER TOWER MARINA)
WHEREAS, Harris Bank Barrington, 201 S. Grove Avenue, Barrington,
Illinois 60010, under Trust No. 11-4585 is the owner of record of
certain property, depicted on the Plat of Annexation prepared by Conway
Surveying, Inc., P.C., attached hereto as Exhibit "A", hereinafter
referred to as "Subject Property"; and
WHEREAS, the Subject Property is contiguous to the current
corporate limits of the City of McHenry and is not located within the
corporate limits of any other municipality; and
WHEREAS, the aforesaid record owner desires annexation of said real
estate and has petitioned the corporate authorities of the City of
McHenry, Illinois, in writing and under oath, for annexation of the
Subject Property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and City Council of the
City of McHenry, McHenry County, Illinois, as follows:
SECTION 1: That the following Subject Property is hereby annexed
to the City of McHenry:
The East Half of that part of the Southwest Quarter of the
Southwest Quarter of Section 25, described as follows:
Commencing at a post that stands on the West line of said
Section 25, 16 chains North of the Southwest corner of said
Section 26; thence North 2 chains to a stake; thence East 2
chains to a stake; thence South 2 chains to a stake;; thence
West 2 chains to the place of beginning, all in Township 45
North, Range 8 East of the Third Principal Meridian, in
McHenry County, Illinois, (Property Index #09-25-351-003)
ALSO
Lots 5, 15, 16, 17 and 18 in Block 4 in Hunterville Park
Subdivision, a Subdivision of part of the Southwest Quarter of
Section 25, and of the Southeast Quarter of Section 26,
Township 45 North, Range 8 East of the Third Principal
Meridian, according to the Plat thereof recorded March 30,
1929 as Document No. 87599, in Book 7 of Plats, page 4, in
McHenry County, Illinois. (Property Index #09-25-306-006;
09-25-306-007; 09-25-306-008; 09-25-306-009; 09-25-306-014.)

SECTION 2: The City Clerk of the City of McHenry is hereby
directed to record in the Office of the Recorder of Deeds and to file in
the Office of the County Clerk of McHenry County, Illinois, and the Post
Office serving the territory, within 30 days of the effective date of
this Ordinance, a certified copy of this Ordinance.

SECTION 3: If any section, paragraph, subdivision, clause,
sentence of provision of this Ordinance shall be adjudged by any Court
of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, such judgment shall not affect,
impair, invalidate or nullify the remainder thereof, which remainder
shall remain and continue in full force and effect.
SECTION 4: The recitals set forth in this Ordinance are
incorporated herein by reference.
SECTION 5: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 6: The Mayor and City Council hereby find that exigent
circumstances exist warranting the immediate effectiveness of this
Ordinance.
SECTION 7: This Ordinance shall be published in pamphlet .form as
provided by law.
