An Ordinance Annexing Certain Property Dedicated for
Highway Purposes Under the Jurisdiction of the Department
Of Transportation of the State of Illinois, to the City of McHenry
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF McHENRY, McHENRY
COUNTY, ILLINOIS, as follows:
SECTION 1: That, pursuant to 65 ILCS 5/7-1-10, the following described
property, dedicated for highway purposes under the jurisdiction of the
Department of Transportation of the State of Illinois, is hereby annexed to
the City of McHenry, McHenry County, Illinois:
FA ROUTE 201 (FAP 420) TAKEN BY CONDEMNATION IN CASE NO. 73-3756
KNOWN AS PARCEL #0043
(FLORENCE BLAKE PROPERTY)
That part of the Southeast Quarter of Section 23, Township 45 North,
Range 8 East of the Third Principal Meridian, in McHenry County,
Illinois, described as follows:
Beginning at the Northwest corner of the Southeast Quarter of Section 23,
which is 298.57 feet Northeasterly of Station 618+41.25 on the centerline
of F.A. Route 201, recorded in Document 413547 as measured normal
thereto; thence Easterly along the North line of the Southeast Quarter of
Section 23 a distance of 340.02 feet to a point which is 461.43 feet
Northeasterly of Station 621+39.73 on the centerline of F.A. Route 201,
as measured normal thereto; thence Southeasterly along a line which makes
an angle of 65 Degrees, 15 Minutes, 47 Seconds to the right of the
prolongation of the last described course at the last described point a
distance of 262.07 feet to a point which is 305.00 feet Northeasterly of
Station 623+50 on the centerline of F. A. Route 201, as measured normal
thereto; thence Southeasterly along a line which makes an angle of 19
Degrees, 56 Minutes, 50 Seconds to the left of the prolongation of the
last described course at the last described point a distance of 365.41
feet to a point which is 200.00 feet Northeasterly of Station 627+00 on
the centerline of F. A. Route 201, as measured normal thereto' thence
Southeasterly along a line which makes an angle of 12 Degrees, 36
Minutes, 49 Seconds to the left of the prolongation of the last described
course at the last described point a distance of 701.78 feet to a point
which is 150.00 feet Northeasterly of Station 634+00 on the centerline of
F. A. Route 201, as measured normal thereto; thence Southeasterly along a
line which makes an angle of 4 Degrees, 05 Minutes, 08 Seconds to the
left of the prolongation of the last described course at the last
described point a distance of 674.49 feet to a point on the Grantor's
East property line which is 150.00 feet Northeasterly of Station
640+74.49 on the centerline of F. A. Route 201, as measured normal
thereto; thence Southerly along the said East property line which makes
an angle of 61 Degrees, 20 Minutes, 00 Seconds to the right of the
prolongation of the last described course at the last described point a
distance of 341.91 feet to a point which is 150.00 feet Southwesterly of
Station 642+38.51 on the centerline of F. A. Route 201, as measured
normal thereto; thence Northwesterly along a line which makes an angle of
118 Degrees, 40 Minutes, 00 Seconds to the right of the prolongation of
the last described course at the last described point a distance of
138.51 feet to a point which is 150.00 feet Southwesterly of Station
641+00 on the centerline of F. A. Route 201, as measured normal thereto;

thence Northwesterly along a line which makes an angle of 3 Degrees, 34
Minutes, 35 Seconds to the left of the prolongation of the last described
course at the last described point a distance of 400.78 feet to a point
which is 175.00 feet Southwesterly of Station 637+00 on the centerline of
F. A. Route 201, as measured normal thereto' thence Northwesterly along a
line which makes an angle of 8 Degrees, 20 Minutes, 24 Seconds to the
right of the prolongation of the last described course at the last
described point a distance of 301.04 feet to a point which is 150.00 feet
Southwesterly of Station 634+00 on the centerline of F. A. Route 201, as
measured normal thereto; thence Northwesterly along a line which makes an
angle of 7 Degrees, 08 Minutes, 59 Seconds to the left of the
prolongation of the last described course at the last described point a
distance of 600.52 feet to a point which is 175.00 feet Southwesterly of
Station 628+00 on the centerline of F. A. Route 201, as measured normal
thereto; thence Northwesterly along_ a line which makes an angle of 18
Degrees, 10 Minutes, 12 Seconds to the left of the prolongation of the
last described course at the last described point a distance of 213.60
feet to a point which is 250.00 feet Southwesterly of Station 626+00 on
the centerline of F. A. Route 201, as measured normal thereto; thence
Westerly along a line which makes an angle of 6 Degrees, 55 Minutes, 06
Seconds to the left of the prolongation of the last described course at
the last described point a distance of 281.78 feet to a point which is
380.00 feet Southwesterly of Station 623+50 on the centerline of F. A.
Route 201, as measured normal thereto; thence Southwesterly along a line
which makes an angle of 85 Degrees, 13 Minutes, 47 Seconds to the left of
the prolongation of the last described course at the last described point
a distance of 602.74 feet to a point; thence Southwesterly along a line
which makes an angle of 3 Degrees, 00 Minutes, 19 Seconds to the left of
the prolongation of the last described course at the last described point
a distance of 500.40 feet to a point; thence Southwesterly along a line
which makes an angle of 6 Degrees, 14 Minutes 25 Seconds to the right of
the prolongation of the last described course at the last described point
a distance of 101.12 feet to a point; thence Westerly along a line which
makes an angle of 81 Degrees, 28 Minutes, 09 Seconds to the right of a
prolongation of the last described course at the last described point a
distance of 40.00 feet to a point on the West line of the Southeast
Quarter of Section 23, said West line being the centerline of the public
highway known as F. A. Route 54 (IL. Route 31); thence Northerly along
the said West line which makes an angle of 90 Degrees, 00 Minutes, 00
Seconds to the right of the prolongation of the last described course at
the last described point a distance of 2,038.16 feet to the point of
beginning.
Said property, depicted on an accurate map which is appended and made a
part of this Ordinance, is parallel and contiguous to the City of McHenry
corporate limits.
SECTION 2: That the Clerk of the City of McHenry is hereby directed to
record in the Office of the Recorder and to file in the Office of the County
Clerk of McHenry County, Illinois, within 30 days of the effective date of
this Ordinance a certified copy of this Ordinance, together with an accurate
map of the property hereby annexed, said map being attached hereto, made a
part hereof and identified as Exhibit "A".

SECTION 3: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately
after its passage and approval.
SECTION 4: If any section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, sentence or
provision of this Ordinance shall be adjudged by any Court of competent
jurisdiction to be invalid, such judgment shall not affect, impair, invalidate
or nullify the remainder thereof, which remainder shall remain and continue in
full force and effect.
SECTION 5: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 6: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon its
passage, approval and publication in pamphlet form (which publication is
hereby authorized) as provided by law.
