An Ordinance Annexing Certain Property Dedicated for
Highway Purposes Under the Jurisdiction of the Department
Of Transportation of the State of Illinois, to the City of McHenry
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF McHENRY, McHENRY
COUNTY, ILLINOIS, as follows:
SECTION 1: That, pursuant to 65 ILCS 5/7-1-10, the following described
property, dedicated for highway purposes under the jurisdiction of the
Department of Transportation of the State of Illinois, is hereby annexed to
the City of McHenry, McHenry County, Illinois:
FA ROUTE 201 (FAP 420) TAKEN BY CONDEMNATION IN CASE NO. 73-3756
KNOWN AS PARCEL #0040
Part "A" (PETERSON PARCEL ON WEST SIDE OF ROUTE 31)
That part of the Southeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section
23, Township 45 North, Range 8 East of the Third Principal Meridian, in
McHenry County, Illinois, described as follows:
Beginning at the Southeast corner of the Southeast Quarter of the
Northwest Quarter of Section 23; thence Westerly along the South line of
the Southeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 23 a distance
of 980.11 feet to a point which is 170.85 feet Southwesterly of Station
609+80.86 on the centerline of FA Route 201, (FAP 420), recorded in
Document 413547, as measured normal thereto; thence Northwesterly along a
line which makes an angle of 30 Degrees 15 Minutes 34 Seconds to the
right to the prolongation of the last described course at the last
described point a distance of 378.36 feet to a point on the West line of
the Southeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 23 which is
160.00 feet Southwesterly of Station 606+02.66 on the centerline of FA
Route 201, as measured normal thereto; thence Northerly along said West
line which makes an angle of 60 Degrees 28 Minutes 26 Seconds to the
right of the prolongation of the last described course at the last
described point a distance of 444.37 feet to a point which is 232.78 feet
Northeasterly of Station 603+94.83 on the centerline of FA Route 201, as
measured normal thereto; thence Southeasterly along a line which makes an
angle of 117 Degrees 03 Minutes 54 Seconds to the right of the
prolongation of the last described course at the last described point a
distance of 505.22 feet to a point which is 240.00 feet Northeasterly of
Station 609+00 on the centerline of FA Route 201, as measured normal
thereto; thence Southeasterly along a line which makes an angle of 4
Degrees 44 Minutes 59 Seconds to the left of the prolongation of the last
described course at the last described point a distance of 369.70 feet to
a point of curvature which is 275.87 feet Northeasterly of Station
612+67.95 on the centerline of FA Route 201, as measured normal thereto;
thence Northeasterly along the arc of a curve to the left having a radius
of 185.00 feet, being concave Northwesterly a distance of 389.38 feet to
a point; thence Northwesterly along a line tangent to the last described
curve at the last described point a distance of 175.27 feet to a point;
thence Northeasterly along a line which makes an angle of 20 Degrees 47
Minutes 56 Seconds to the right of the prolongation of the last described
course at the last described point a distance of 128.12 feet to a point;
thence Northeasterly along a line which makes an angle of 53 Degrees 32

Minutes 35 Seconds to the right of the prolongation of the last described
course at the last described point a distance of 97.18 feet to a point on
the North line of the Southeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of
Section 23; thence Easterly along said North line which makes an angle of
92 Degrees 09 Minutes 35 Seconds to the right of the prolongation of the
last described course at the last described point a distance of 41.63
feet to a point on the centerline of the public highway known as FA Route
54 (Illinois Route 31); thence Southeasterly along the centerline of said
FA Route 54 which makes an angle of 75 Degrees 57 Minutes 49 Seconds to
the right of the prolongation of the last described course at the last
described point a distance of 339.20 feet to a point of curvature on said
centerline; thence Southerly along the arc of a curve to the right having
a radius of 3,819.72 feet, being concave Southwesterly a distance of
972.22 feet to a point of tangency on said centerline, said point lying
on the East line of the Southeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of
Section 23; thence Southerly along said East line a distance of 35.52
feet to the point of beginning.

That part of the Southeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter and the
Southwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 23, Township 45
North, Range 8 East of the Third Principal Meridian, in McHenry County,
Illinois, described as follows:
Beginning at the Southeast corner of the Southeast Quarter of the
Northwest Quarter of Section 23, which is 298.57 feet Northeasterly of
Station 618+41.25 on the centerline of FA Route 201, recorded in Document
413547, as measured normal thereto, thence Northerly along the East line
of the Southeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 23, said
East line being the centerline of the public highway known as FA Route 55
(Illinois Route 31) a distance of 35.52 feet to a point of curvature,
thence Northwesterly along the said centerline of FA Route 54 being the
arc of a curve to the left having a radius of 3,819.72 feet, being
concave Southwesterly a distance of 972.22 feet to a point of tangency on
said centerline of FA Route 54, thence Northwesterly along said
centerline of Fa Route 54 a distance of 339.20 feet to a point on the
North line of the Southeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section
23, thence Easterly along the said North line which makes an angle of 104
Degrees 02 Minutes 11 Seconds to the right of the prolongation of the
last described course at the last described point a distance of 41.23
feet to a point; thence Southeasterly along a line which makes an angle
of 50 Degrees 58 Minutes 34 Seconds to the right of the prolongation of

feet to a point; thence Southeasterly along a line which makes an angle
of 22 Degrees 11 Minutes 20 Seconds to the right of the prolongation of
the last described course at the last described point a distance of

angle of 8 Degrees 53 Minutes 57 Seconds to the right of the
prolongation of the last described course at the last described point a
distance of 128.17 feet to a point; thence Southeasterly along a line
which makes an angle of 62 Degrees 03 Minutes 34 Seconds to the left of
the prolongation of the last described course at the last described point
a distance of 151.52 feet to a point; thence Southeasterly along a line
which makes an angle of 60 Degrees 23 Minutes 51 Seconds to the right of
the prolongation of the last described course at the last described point
a distance of 105.49 feet to a point; thence Southerly along a line which
makes an angle of 11 Degrees 58 Minutes 30 Seconds to the right of the
prolongation of the last described -course at the last described point a
distance of 475.09 feet to a point; thence Southeasterly along a line
which makes an angle of 29 Degrees 45 Minutes 00 Seconds to the left of
the prolongation of the last described course at the last described point
a distance of 57.75 feet to a point; thence Southeasterly along a. line
which makes an angle of 34 Degrees 36 Minutes 50 Seconds to the left of
the prolongation of the last described course at the last described point
a distance of 351.84 feet to a point on the South line of the Southwest
Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 23; thence Westerly along the
said South line which makes an angle of 151 Degrees 55 Minutes 02 Seconds
to the right of the prolongation of the last described course at the last
described point a distance of 480.03 feet to the point of beginning.
Said property, depicted on an accurate map which is appended and made a
part of this Ordinance, is parallel and contiguous to the City of McHenry
corporate limits.
SECTION 2: That the Clerk of the City of McHenry is hereby directed to
record in the Office of the Recorder and to file in the Office of the County
Clerk of McHenry County, Illinois, within 30 days of the effective date of
this Ordinance a certified copy of this Ordinance, together with an accurate
map of the property hereby annexed, said map being attached hereto, made a
part hereof and identified as Exhibit "A".
SECTION 3: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately
after its passage and approval.
SECTION 4: If any section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, sentence or
provision of this Ordinance shall be adjudged by any Court of competent
jurisdiction to be invalid, such judgment shall not affect, impair, invalidate
or nullify the remainder thereof, which remainder shall remain and continue in
full force and effect.
SECTION 5: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 6: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon its
passage, approval and publication in pamphlet form (which publication is
hereby authorized) as provided by law.
