AN ORDINANCE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF McHENRY, McHENRY
COUNTY, ILLINOIS, as follows:
SECTION 1. That the following described "alley" located north of Maple
Avenue and approximately 150 feet west of Richmond Road (Illinois Route 31)
is hereby named "Maple Court":
That part of a 16 foot alley as shown on Lakeview Addition to McHenry,
lying northerly of the westerly extension of the north line of Kent
(now known as Maple) Avenue, according to the dedication of said Kent
Avenue, recorded December 9, 1927 as Document No. 81167, and lying
southerly of the southerly vacation of alley as shown on said Document
No. 81167, lying westerly of and adjacent to Lots 1, 2, 3 and the
northerly 16 feet of of Lot 4 in said Lakeview Addition to McHenry,
being a Subdivision of part of the Southwest Quarter of Section 26,
Township 45 North, Range 8 East of the 3rd P.M., according to the Plat
thereof recorded November 25, 1922 in Book 4 of Plats, page 74, in
McHenry County, Illinois; ALSO
Part of Lot 1 of the County Clerk's Plat of the Southwest Quarter of
Section 26, Township 45 North, Range 8 East of the 3rd P.M., bounded
and described as follows: Beginning at a point in the North line of
the Southwest Quarter of said Section 26 where the West line of the
alley shown on the plat of Lakeview Addition to McHenry recorded in the
Recorder's Office of McHenry County, Illinois, in Book 4 of Plats, page
74, intersects said quarter line; thence south along the west line of
said alley to the north line of Kent Avenue (now known as Maple
Avenue); thence west along the north line of Kent Avenue, 14 feet;
thence north parallel with the west line of said alley to the north
line of the Southwest Quarter of said Section 26; thence East to the
place of beginning, situate, lying and being in the City of McHenry,
County of McHenry and State of Illinois.
SECTION 2. That the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to
notify the election authorities having jurisdiction in the area in which the
aforesaid Maple Court is located and the post office branch servicing said
area, of said change in writing by certified or registered mail.
SECTION 3. All ordinances or parts thereof in conflict with this
Ordinance are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed.
SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage, approval, publication and notification as by law provided.
