An Ordinance Annexing Certain Territory
Known as Hillside Development
to the City of McHenry
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the CITY OF McHENRY,
McHenry County, Illinois, as follows:
SECTION 1: That the following described property is hereby
annexed to the City of McHenry, McHenry County, Illinois:
Parcel 1: The Southeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter
and the South 247.45 feet of the Northeast Quarter of the
Southwest Quarter of Section 2, Township 44 North, Range
8 East of the Third Principal Meridian, in McHenry
County, Illinois (47 acres lying west of Green Street).
Parcel 2: The Southwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter
(except that part falling within McHenry Shores Unit No.
5, according to the Plat thereof recorded September 20,
1960 as Document No. 375179; also except the North 165
feet; also except that part falling within Document No.
383576) in Section 2, Township 44 North, Range 8 East of
the Third Principal Meridian, in McHenry County, Illinois
(13 acres lying east of Green Street).
Parcel 3: The West 40 feet of the South 247.45 feet of
the Northwest Quarter of the southeast Quarter of Section
2, together with the West 40 feet of the North 165 feet
of the Southwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of
Section 2; and also together with that part of the West
40 feet of the Southwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter
of Section 2, lying North of the North line of Block 37
of McHenry Shores Unit 5 and South of the South line of
Parcel 2 hereon described, all in Township 44 North,
Range 8 East of the Third Principal Meridian, in McHenry
County, Illinois (portion of Green Street between Parcel
No. 1 and Parcel No. 2).
Said property, indicated on an accurate map which is appended
and made a part of this Ordinance, consists of 60.52± acres and is
located on the east and west side of Green Street, approximately
1,000 feet south of Bull Valley Road.
SECTION 2: That the Clerk of the City of McHenry is hereby
directed to record in the Office of the Recorder and to file in the
Office of the County Clerk of McHenry County, Illinois, within 30
days of the effective date of this Ordinance a certified copy of
this Ordinance, together with an accurate map of the property

hereby annexed, said map being attached hereto, made a part hereof
and identified as Exhibit A.
SECTION 3: If any section, paragraph, subdivision, clause,
sentence or provision of this Ordinance shall be adjudged by any
Court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, such judgment shall
not affect, impair, invalidate or nullify the remainder thereof,
which remainder shall remain and continue in full force and effect.
SECTION 4: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 5: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
upon its passage, approval and publication in pamphlet form (which
publication is hereby authorized) as provided by law.
