HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances - O-90-542 - 05/20/1990 - REGULATE PARKING ALONG GREEN STOrdinance No. 0-90-542 AN ORDINANCE REGULATING PARKING ALONG BOTH SIDES OF GREEN STREET AS PART OF THE GREEN STREET IMPROVEMENT (FAU ROUTE 0087), FEDERAL PROJECT M-5043(11), STATE SECTION 1980-158 RS, CITY SECTION 80-00036-01-PV, IN THE CITY OF McHENRY, McHENRY COUNTY, ILLINOIS WHEREAS, the City of McHenry, County of McHenry, and the State of Illinois, acting by and through its Department of Transportation, Division of Highways, have entered into an Agreement relative to the improvement of Green Street; and WHEREAS, in order to facilitate said improvement it is necessary for the City to adopt an Ordinance regulating the parking on both sides of Green Street from a point 180 (one hundred eighty) feet north of the centerline of Kane Avenue to the intersection with Fairway Drive. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of McHenry, McHenry County, Illinois as follows: SECTION 1: That it shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to parkor cause to be parked a motor vehicle on either side of Green Street from a point 180 (one hundred eighty) feet north of the centerline of Kane Avenue'to the intersection with Fairway Drive. SECTION 2: That any person, firm or corporation violating this Ordinance shall be finea not less than $25.00 nor more than $500.00 for each offense, and separate offenses shall be deemed committed for each and every day during which a violation continues or exists. SECTION 3: That if any section, paragraph, clause, phrase or part of this Ordinance is for any reason held invalid, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of this Ordinance, and the application of these provisions to any persons or circumstances shall not be affected thereby. SECTION 4: That all Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with the provisions o this Ordinance are hereby repealed insofar as they conflict herewith. SECTION 5: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval as provided by law. PASSED THIS 30th day of May , 1990.
