AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ANNEXATION
OF TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF MCHENRY, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, the territory hereinafter described is not
within the corporate limits of any municipality, is
uninhabited and contiguous to the City of McHenry, Illinois;
and
WHEREAS, the territory hereinafter described is owned
by the City of McHenry, Illinois;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF MCHENRY, ILLINOIS, as follows:
SECTION 1. That the following described territory be
and the same is hereby annexed to and made a part of the
City of McHenry, Illinois:
Part of the Northwest Quarter of Section 2, Township 44 North,
Range 8 East of the Third Principal Meridian, described as follows:
Beginning at the Northeast Corner of the Northwest Quarter of said
Section 2; thence Southerly along the East line of said Northwest
Quarter a distance of 350. 11 feet; thence Westerly along a line that
forms an ang) a of 88 degrees 33 minutes to the right with the
prolongation of the last described course a distance of 247.76 feet,
to a point on the Westerly line extended Southerly of Lot 14 of
Edgebrook Heights Annex, being a Subdivision of part of the Southwest
Quarter of Se.:tion 35, Township 45 North, Range 8 East of the Third
Principal Meridian; thence Northerly along said Westerly line
extended Soutierly a distance of 350. 06 feet, to a point on the North
line of the Northwest Quarter of said Section 2, that is 249. 84 feet
Westerly of the Northeast Corner of the Northwest Quarter of said
Section 2, said point being also the Southwest Corner of said Lot
14 of Edgebrook Heights Annex; thence Easterly along said North
line a distance of 249. 84 feet, to the place of beginning in McHenry
County, n1 i,- is,
SECTION 2. That the boundary lines of the City of
McHenry, Illinois, be and they are hereby enlarged and
extended to include within its corporate boundaries the
above -described territory.
SECTION 3. That a certified copy of this ordinance,
together with an accurate map of the territory annexed
hereby shall be recorded with the Recorder of Deeds of
McHenry County, Illinois, and shall also be filed with the
County ClerR of McHenry County, Illinois.

SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval according to
law.
