ORDINANCE NO. 0-89-517
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR
THE ANNEXATION OF CITY -OWNED
REAL ESTATE TO THE CITY OF
MCHENRY, ILLINOIS (FORMERLY
PART OF KNOX FARM)
WHEREAS, the City of McHenry, Illinois is the record
owner of the real estate hereinafter described; and
WHEREAS, no electors reside on the real estate
hereinafter described; and
WHEREAS, said real estate is contiguous to the existing
corporate limits of the City of McHenry, Illinois, and is
not located within any other municipality.
NOW, THEREFORE, BY, IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF MCHENRY, ILLINOIS, as follows:
SECTION 1: The following described real estate be and
the same is hereby annexed to and made a part of the
corporate limits of the City of McHenry, Illinois, including
any and all portions of adjacent streets, roads, or highways
as required by law:
Parcel 1:
The East Half of Government Lot 1 in the Northwest Quar-z�er of Section 2
(excepting therefrom the North 330.93 feet (as measured along the Easter-
ly and Westerly lines thereof) and excepting therefrom that part t-x-_-reof
described as follows: Beginning at the Southeast corner of said Fes-_--t Half;
thence North 89 degrees, 37 minutes, 33 seconds West, bearing assi , along
the South line of said East Half, a distance of 1306.61 feet to try Southwest
corner of said East Half; thence North 00 degrees, 55 minutes, 03 seconds
East along the West line of said East Half, a distance of 650.06 feet to a
point; thence South 89 degrees, 41 minutes, 51 seconds East, a distance of
1312.27 feet to the East line of said East Half; thence South 01 degrees,
24 minutes, 51 seconds West along said East line, a distance of 651.78 feet
to the point of beginning), Township 44 North, Range 8 East of the Third
Principal Meridian, in McHenry County, Illinois.

Parcel 2:
The North 330.93 feet (as measured along the Easterly and Westerly lines)
of the East Half of Government Lot 1 in the Northwest Quarter of Sec --m
2, Township 44 North, Range 8 East of the Third Principal Meridian, ::
McHenry County, Illinois.
That Plats of Survey of said territory is attached hereto as
Exhibit "A".
SECTION 2: The City Clerk is hereby directed to cause
an accurate map of the real estate described and annexed to
be prepared or obtained, and when satisfied as to the
accuracy of said map, record the map and a certified copy of
this ordinance in the Office of the Recorder of Deeds,
McHenry County, Illinois. Following the recordation of this
ordinance and the map of the real estate above described and
annexed, a copy thereof shall be filed in the Office of the
Clerk of McHenry County, Illinois.
SECTION 3: This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval according to
law.
