AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOP
THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN
DESCRIBED REAL ESTATE TO THE
CITY OF MCHENRY, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, Robert L. Funk is the owner of the real estate
hereinafter described; and
WHEREAS, one elector resides on the real estate
hereinafter described; and
WHEREAS, said real estate is contiguous to the existing
corporate limits of the City of McHenry, Illinois, and is
not located within any other municipality; and the aforesaid
record owner and resident elector desire annexation of said
real estate and have petitioned the corporate authorities of
the City of McHenry, Illinois, in wri`ing and under oath,
for annexation of said real estate; and
WHEREAS, the land to be annexed is not a part of any
Public Library District and will not be disconnected from
any fire protection district and therefore statutory notice
is not required to be given to those legal entities
designated in the statutes; and
WHEREAS, notice was given to the McHenry Township
Authorities as required by Statute.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CIT-i COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF MCHENRY, ILLINOIS, as follows_
SECTION 1. The following described real estate be and
the same is hereby annexed to and made a part of the
corporate limits of the City of McHenry, Illinois, inc];uding
any and all portions of adjacent streets, roads, or highways
as required by law:

Commen at the intersection of the Easterly line of Riverside Drive as per
Snyder's Su ion and the East and West center line of Section 26; thence East
along said center f said Section 26, 79.79 feet to the point of beginning;
thence South 54 degree nutes East, 65 feet, more or less, to the edge of
the Fox River; thence Northe along the edge of the Fox River to a point 92
feet, more or less, East of the an,
f beginning, in the East and West center
line of said Section 26; thence South agrees 56 minutes West along said
center line of said Section 26, 92 feet, more ss, to the point of beginning;
also excepting the Southwesterly 9.00 feet to said , being a Subdivision of
part of the Southeast Quarter of Section 26, Township 4 , Range 8 East of
the Third Principal Meridian, according to the Plat thereof re November 28,
That part of Lot 1 in E. B. Crook's Subdivision, described as follows: Beginning
at the intersection of the Easterly line of Riverside Drive as per E. B. Crook's
Subdivision and the East and West center line of Section 26; thence North 89
degrees 56 minutes East along said center line of Section 26, 98.19 feet; thence
North 54 degrees 27 minutes West, 92.55 feet; thence South 23 degrees 00 minutes
West, 58.58 feet along said Easterly line of said Riverside Drive to the point of
beginning, said E. B. Crook's Subdivision of part of the Southeast Quarter of the
Northeast Quarter of Section 26, Township 45 North, Range 8 East of the Third
Principal Meridian, according to the Plat thereof recorded in Book 3 of Plate,
page 28, all in McHenry County, Illinois.
That a Plat of Survey of said territory is attached hereto
as Exhibit "A".
SECTION 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to cause
an accurate map of the real estate described and annexed to
be prepared or obtained, and when satisfied as to the
accuracy of said map, record the map and a certified copy of
this Ordinance in the Office of the Recorder of Deeds,
McHenry County, Illinois. Following the recordation of this

Ordinance and the map of the real estate above described and
annexed, a copy thereof shall be filed in the Office of the
Clerk of McHenry County, Illinois.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval according to
law.
