AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE DISCHARGE OF SANITARY AND
INDUSTRIAL WASTE INTO ANY STORM SEWER OR DRAINAGE FACILITY
CONSTRUCTED AS A PART OF THE ILLINOIS ROUTE 31/120 IMPROVEMENT
WHEREAS, the State of Illinois acting by and through its Dep�.) tment
of Transportation is desirous of improving Illinois Route 31/120 between
Thi rl Street and Richmond Road in the City of McHenry; and
WHEREAS, said pr^ject includes the installation of storm sew(r; and
dra'.rage facilities; a�._
WHEREAS, a portion of the project runs through the City of "+-Henry
including the installation of storm drains and drainage facilities.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF Mc HENRY, COUNTY OF
Mc HENRY, STATE OF ILLINOIS, as follows:
SECTION 1. No person, firm, corporation or other entity shall
discharge any sanitary waste or industrial waste water into any storm sewer
or d-ainage facility constructed as part of the Illinois Route :1/120
improvement, said limits of improvement being between Third Street and
Richalind Road, which passes through the City of McHenry.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk of the City of McHenry is authorized and
directed to attach a copy of this Ordinance to the Agreement dated
November 16, 1988 by and between the State of Illinois and the City of
McHenry, relative to the Illinois Route 31/120 improvement.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect fr,;)m and
after its passage, approval and publication as provided by law.
