RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, an Ordinance passed by the City Council of the City of McHenry on
November 13, 1997 provided for the increase of the water/sewer rates for the following
three years; and
WHEREAS, said Ordinance required an increase in the water/sewer rates to be
determined by the Chicago Area Consumer Price Index Annual Average; and
WHEREAS, the CPI-U-All Urban Consumers, Chicago rate for 2004 is 2.07%.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council of
the City of McHenry, Illinois, that the following rates shall be in effect as of February 1,
2005:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED all Debt Service Charges, namely the Fixed
Debt Service Charge of $3.00/month and $0.35/1000 gallons Usage Debt Service Charge
shall remain the same;
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution shall be made a
permanent part of the City Council minutes.

WHEREAS, the City of McHenry has

outstanding indebtedness described as follows:
$3,500,000 General Obligation Bonds (Motor Fuel Tax Alternative Revenue Source) Series 2000A

WHEREAS, in the opinion of this body, the indebtedness described in the preceding paragraph may be retire,
with funds allotted to the municipality under the Motor Fuel Tax Law, and
WHEREAS, it appears that sufficient motor fuel tax funds are or will be available when the above indebtedness i
due, and
WHEREAS, the McHenry City Council has, by resolution

adopted December 13 .20 _ 00 , directed the Clerk of McHen
County to cancel the 2000 tax levy (for taxes collectable in 2001 ) which would

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that there is hereby appropriated the sum of Three hundred sixty
four thousand, four hundred and

municipality under the Motor Fuel Tax Law for the payment of the above -described indebtedness, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Clerk shall immediately transmit three (3) certified copies of this resolution
to the District Engineer, Department of Transportation, at Schaumburg , Illinois.
