AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE DISCHARGE OF N INDUSTRIAL WASTE INTO ANY
STORM SEWER OR DRAINAGE FACILITY CONSTRUCTED AS A PART OF THE
FRONT STREET (ROUTE 31) IMPROVEMENT STATE SECTION 112 WRS-86
WHEREAS, the State of Illinois, acting by and through its Department of
Transportation, is desirous of improving Front Street (Route 31) between High Street
and the South City Limits in the City of McHenry;
WHEREAS, said project includes the installation of storm sewers and drainage
facilities; and
WHEREAS, a portion of the project runs through the City of McHenry including the
installation of storm drains and drainage facilities;
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MCHENRY, COUNTY OF MCHENRY, STATE
OF ILLINOIS, as follows:
Section 1. No person, firm, corporation or other entity shall discharge any
sanitary waste or industrial waste water into any storm sewer or drainage facility
constructed as part of the Front Street (Route 31) improvement, said limits of
improvement being between High Street and the South City Limits, and a portion of
which passes through the City of McHenry.
Section 2. The City Clerk of the City of McHenry is authorized and directed to
attach a copy of this Ordinance to the agreement dated November 24, 1987, by and
between the State of Illinois and the City of McHenry, relative to the Front Street
improvement.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage and approval according to law.
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MCHENRY, COUNTY OF MCHENRY, STATE OF
ILLINOIS, this 24th day of November, 1987.
