AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ANNEXATION OF
TERRITORY OWNED BY THE CITY OFMCHENRY, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, the territory hereinafter described is not
within the corporate limits of any municipality, is
uninhabited and contiguous to the City of McHenry,
Illinois; and,
WHEREAS, the territory hereinafter described is
owned by the City of McHenry, Illinois.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF MCHENRY, MCHENRY COUNTY, ILLINOIS AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the following described territory
be and the same is hereby annexed to and made a part of
the City of McHenry, Illinois:
PARCEL 3 - The Southwest Quarter of Section 22,
Township 45 North, Range 8 East of the Third Principal
Meridian, (except therefrom the following described lands:
That portion thereof commencing at the Northwest corner of
said Quarter Section and running thence Easterly along the
Quarter Section line, 250 feet to a point; thence
Southerly parallel with the West line of said Quarter
Section, a distance of 650 feet; thence Westerly parallel
to the Northerly line of said Quarter Section, a distance
of 250 feet; thence Northerly along the West line of said
Quarter Section to the place of beginning, in McHenry
County, Illinois; AND ALSO That part of the Southwest
Quarter of Section 22, Township 45 North, Range 8 East of
the Third Principal Meridian, described as follows:
Commencing at the Southeast corner of said Southwest
Quarter; thence North 1 degree 06 minutes 10 seconds East
along the East line of said Southwest Quarter, 151.75 feet
to the point of beginning, which is on the Westerly
extension of the Southerly line of Lot #23 in Lakewood
Subdivision, and 32.55 feet West of the Southwest corner
of said Lot #23; thence Westerly along said Westerly
extension, 124 feet, more or less, to the shore line of
McCullom's Lake; thence Northeasterly along said shore

SECTION 2. That the boundary lines of the City of
McHenry, Illinois be and they are hereby enlarged and
extended to include within its corporate boundaries the
above described territory.
SECTION 3. That a photocopy of an accurate map
depicting the above described territory hereby annexed is
attached hereto as Exhibit A and is made a part hereof.
SECTION 4. That a certified copy of this ordinance,
shall be recorded with the Recorder of Deeds, McHenry
County, Illinois and shall be filed with the County Clerk
of McHenry County, Illinois.
SECTION 5. That this ordinance shall be in full
force and effect from and after its passage and approval
according to law.
