AN ORDINANCE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MCHENRY, MCHENRY COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Pursuant to Illinois Revised Statutes,
Chapter 24 Section 11-76-4, at least three -fourths (3/4) of
the corporate authorities of the City of McHenry, Illinois
find that the following described personal property, to
wit: motor vehicles, tractors, office equipment, bicycles,
CB radios and other miscellaneous items, now owned by the
City of McHenry are no longer necessary or useful to or for
the best interest of the City of McHenry, and the best
interest of the City will be served by their sale.
SECTION 2.
Pursuant to
the aforesaid statute, the
aforesaid items
of personal
property shall
be sold at
public auction
for cash. Minimum acceptable
bid prices
may be established
for any
item of personal
property by
the department
head from
whose department
said item
originatE's.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval in the
manner provided by law.
