AN ORDINANCE REGULATING PARKING ALLONG RICHMOND ROAD (ROUTE 31)
BETWEEN PEARL STREET AND APPROXIMATELY 2300 FEET NORTH OF
McCULL.OM LAKE ROAD IN THE CITY OF McHENRY, Mc HENRY COUNTY,
ILL INOIS ,
WHEREAS, the City of McHenry, hereinafter known as "CITY", the
County of McHenry, and the State of Illinois, acting by and through its
Department of Transportation, Division of Highways, have entered into an
agreement relative to the improvement of Richmond Road (Route 31) between
Pearl Street and approximately 2,300 feet north of McCullom Lake Road; and
WHEREAS, in order to facilitate said improvement it is necessary
for the City to adopt an Ordinance regulating the parking on Richmond Road
(Route 31) to approximately 2,300 feet north of McCullom Lake Road;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of
McHenry, McHenry County, Illinois, as follows:
SECTION 1. That it shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corpor-
ation to park or cause to be parked a motor vehicle on Richmond Road
(Route 31) from Pearl Street to approximately 2,300 feet north of McCullom
Lake Road.
SECTION 2. That any person, firm, or corporation violating this Or-
dinance shaaTT-6e fined not less than $25.00 nor more than $500.00 for each
offense, and separate offenses shall be deemed committed for each and
every day during which a violation continues or exists.
SECTION 3. That if any section, paragraph, clause, phrase or part of
this rid ance'is for any reason held invalid, such decision shall not af-
fect the validity of the remaining provisions of this Ordinance, and the
application of these provisions to any persons or circumstances shall not
be affected 'thereby.
SECTION 4. That all Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict
with the —provisions of this Ordinance are hereby repealed insofar as they
conflict herewith.
SECTION 5. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from ascaTter its passage and approval as provided by law.
