RESOLUTION
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE LOCAL MATCH FOR THE INTERSECTION OF ILLINOIS ROUTE
120 AND ILLINOIS ROUTE 31 (RICHMOND ROAD) IMPROVEMENTS THROUGH THE MCHENRY
COUNTY COUNCIL OF MAYORS SURFACE TRANSPORTATION PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the City of McHenry is a member of the McHenry County
Council of Mayors; and
WHEREAS, the McHenry County Council of Mayors has adopted policies
for the implementation of the Surface Transportation Program (STP) of the
Intermodal Surface Transportation Efficiency Act of 1991; and
WHEREAS, those policies require that to receive STP Funding through
the Council of Mayors, a project sponsor must submit an STP Project Resolution
and a Resolution stating that the required local 20% match for that project will
be available through the life of the project.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of McHenry applies
for STP Funding for the specified type of improvement to the intersection of
Illinois Route 120 and Illinois Route 31 (Richmond Road).
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of McHenry hereby agrees
that it will allocate the required 20% local match, estimated to be $250,000
to the improvement of Illinois Route 120 and Illinois Route 31 (Richmond
Road) so long as the project is programmed in the McHenry County Council of
Mayors' Five Year Program or is on its Multi -Year B-list of Projects
Passed and approved this 4th day of September, 2002.
