AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ANNEXATION
OF TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF
McHENRY, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, a Petition requesting annexation of the territory
hereinafter described has been filed with the City Clerk; and
WHEREAS, said Petition for Annexation was duly and properl%
signed under oath by Lon H.J. Smith, as owner of record of said
real estate, and by Kenneth E. Grosse and Sally D. Grosse as the
only electors residing on said premises; and
WHEREAS, the territory hereinafter described is not part o-
any Public Library District, Country Club Drive is not a township
road, and fire protection service is not furnished by the City of
McHenry, so that notices are not required to be given to any
library district, fire protection district or township road
district; and
WHEREAS, the territory hereinafter described is not located
within the corporate limits of any municipality but is contiguous
to the City of McHenry, Illinois; and
WHEREAS, the Corporate Authorities find that all steps and
proceedings necessary for the purpose of authorizing that the
said territory be annexed have been complied with; and
WHEREAS, the annexation of said territory would promote the
public welfare and common good, and is in the best interests of
the City of McHenry, Illinois.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF McHENRY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1.
That the territory described as follows, to wit:
Lot 104 in McHenry Golf Course Subdivision, Fox River
Addition, being a Subdivision of part of the Northeast
Quarter of Section 35 and the Northwest Quarter of
Section 36, Township 45 North, Range 8 East of the
Third Principal Meridian, according to the Plat there-
of recorded October 21, 1929 as Document No. 90215,
Book 8 of Plats, page 2, in McHenry County, Illinois.
be and the same is hereby annexed to and made a part of the City
of McHenry, Illinois.
Section 2. That the boundary lines of the City of McHenry
be and they are hereby enlarged and extended to include within
the corporate boundaries the above -described territory and any
adjacent highway to the far side thereof.
Section 3. That a certified copy of this Ordinance, together
with an accurate map of the territory hereby annexed, shall be
filed with the Recorder of Deeds of McHenry County, Illinois.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval according to law.
