AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ANNEXATION
OF TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF McHENRY, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, the territory hereinafter described is not within
the corporate limits of any municipality, is uninhabited and
contiguous to the City of McHenry, Illinois; and
WHEREAS, the territory hereinafter described is owned by
the City of McHenry;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF McHENRY, ILLINOIS, as follows:
SECTION 1. That the following described territory be and
the same is hereby annexed to and made a part of the City of McHenry,
Illinois:
PARCEL A: That part of Lot 7 as shown on the County Clerk's Plat
of part of Sections 22 and 23, Township 45 North, Range 8 East
of the Third Principal Meridian, as per the Plat thereof recorded
May 6, 1902 as Document No. 14082, bounded by a line described as
follows: Commencing at the intersection of the East line of said
Lot 7 with the center line of McCullom Lake Road; thence North-
westerly along the center line of said road, said center line
forming an angle of 43 degrees 56 minutes 00 seconds with the East
line of said Lot 7, as measured from North to Northwest, a distance
of 100.0 feet; thence Southwesterly at right angles to the center
line of said road, a di'stance of 84.42 feet; thence Southwesterly
in a straight line, a distance of 966.59 feet to a point on the
Easterly line of the Chicago and Northwestern Railroad Company
right of way, being also the Westerly line of said Lot 7, which
is 776.48 feet Northerly, as measured along the Easterly line of
said right of way of the Southwest Corner of said Lot 7; thence
Southerly along the Easterly line of said railroad right of way,
a distance of 60.70 feet; thence Northeasterly in a straight
line, a distance of 1092.08 feet to the place of beginning, in
McHenry County, Illinois. ALSO
PARCEL B: That part of Lot 7 as shown on the County Clerk's Plat
of part of Sections 22 and 23, Township 45 North, Range 8 East of
the Third Principal Meridian, as per the Plat thereof recorded
May 6, 1902 as Document No. 14082, bounded by a line described as
follows: Commencing at the intersection of the East line of said
Lot 7 with the center line of McCullom Lake Road; thence South-
westerly in a straight line, a distance of 1092.08 feet to a
point on the Easterly line of the Chicago and Northwestern Railroad
Company right of way, being also the Westerly line of said Lot 7,
which is 715.78 feet Northerly, as measured along the Easterly line
of said right of way, of the Southwest Corner of said Lot 7; thence
Southerly along the Easterly line of said railroad right of way, a
distance of 715.78 feet to the Southwest Corner of said Lot 7;
thence East along the South'line of said Lot 7, a distance of 859.84
feet to the Southeast Corner of said Lot 7; thence North along the
East line of said Lot 7, a distance of 1081.14 feet to the place of
beginning, McHenry County, Illinois.
SECTION 2. That the boundary lines of the City of McHenry
be and they are hereby enlarged and extended to include within its
corporate boundaries the above -described territory.
SECTION 3. That a certified copy of this ordinance, together
with an accurate map or maps of the territory hereby annexed, shall
be recorded with the Recorder of Deeds of McHenry County, Illinois,
and shall also be filed with the County Clerk of McHenry County,
Illinois.

SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval according to law.
