AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY TO
THE CITY OF MCHENRY, MCHENRY COUNTY, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, the territory hereinafter described is not within
the corporate limits of any municipality, contains less than sixty
acres, is contiguous -to and is wholly bounded by the corporate
limits of the City of McHenry; and
WHEREAS, the Corporate Authorities have caused a proper
legal notice to be published in the McHenry Plaindealer at least
ten days before passage of this Ordinance stating that annexation
of the said territory was being contemplated under the provisions
of Illinois Revised Statutes, Chapter 24, Section 7-1-13; and
WHEREAS, the territory described herein does not include
any highway under the jurisdiction of any township and is not
located in a Public Library District, so that legal notices rela-
ting to this annexation are not required to be given to any town-
ship nor to any Library District; and
WHEREAS, the City of McHenry does not provide fire protec-
tion services so that legal notice relating to this annexation is
not required to be given to any Fire Protection District; and
WHEREAS, the Corporate Authorities have determined that
the annexation of said territory will promote the public health,
welfare, safety and common good;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF McHENRY, MCHENRY COUNTY, ILLINOIS, as follows:
SECTION 1. That the following described territory, to -wit:

hortlwest quarter of Section 27, Township 45 North. Rangt 8,
East of the 3rd Principal Mcridlan, described as follows:
Starting •t the Southwest corner of a certaln tract of land
con veycd by John Boyle to Charles Dalstrom by Deed dated
December 22. A.D. 1928 and recorded in the Recorder's office
of iichenry County, Illinois, In Boot 18 of Deeds, page 21/.;
thence Westerly on a line which is a continuation of the
Southerly boundary of said land conveyed as aforesaid, a
distance of 35.3 feet; thence Northwesterly on a lase forming
an angle of 23 degrees and 50 minutes to the right, with a
prolongation of the last described course. a distance of
247.32 feet to an iron state for a place of begltming; thence
Northerly on a line forming an angle of 84 degrees and 8
minutes to the right. with a prolongation of the last de-
scribed course 150 feet; thence North Westerly on a line
forming an angle of 84 degrees and 8 minutes to the left
with a prolongation of the last described course, 125 feet;
thence Southerly an a 11ne forming an angle of 95 degrees
and 52 minutes to the left with a prolongation of the last
descrl►ed course a distance of 150 feet to an iron stake;
thence South Lasterly In a straight line 125 feet to the
place of beginning, all In McHenry County, Illinois.
PARCEL TWO That part of the Northwest quarter of the
/.orthwestCornet of Section 27. Township 45 North, Range Z.
East of the Third Principal 1'.eridian descrlbed as follows:
Starting at the Southwest corner of a certain tract of land
conveyed by John Boyle to Charles Dalstrtrm by Deed dated
December 22. A.D. 1928 and recorded in the Recorder's
Office of McHenry County, I111nols. In book 138 of Deeds
of page 214; thence westerly on a line which Is a continu-
ation of the Southerly houndsry of Bald land as conveyed as
aforesaid a distance of 239.45 feet to an Iron state for a
place of beginning; thence Westerly on a continuation of the
last described course a distance of 191.05 feet to an Iron
Stake; thence Northeasterly on a line forming an angle of
105 degrees and 58 minutes to the right. with a prolongation
of the last described course 143.9 feet to the Southvestly
corner of a certaln tract of land heretofore conveyed to
the grantee herein and recorded in Boot 225 of Deeds on
page 243; thence Southeasterly on the Southerly line of
said tract heretOfor conveyed as aforesaid. being on a line
forclog as angle of 15 degrees and 58 minutes to the right,
with a prolongation of the last descrlbed course 125 feet
to the most Southerly corner of said above a.entloned tract;
thence Northeasterly on the Iasterly line of sold tract,
being on ■ line forming an angle of 85 degrees and 52 minutes
to the left, with a prolongation of the last described course.

of 95 degrees and 52 minutes to the right. with a prolongation
of the last described course 50 feet; thence Southeasterly
on a line forming an angle of 84 degrees and 8 minutes to
the right; with a prolongation of the last described course.

(with a common address of 5006 West'Shore Drive (Bryant)

be and the same is hereby annexed to and made a part of the City
of McHenry, McHenry County, Illinois.
SECTION 2. That the boundary lines of the City of McHenry,
Illinois, be and they are hereby enlarged and extended to include
within the corporate boundaries the above -described territory to
the far side of any adjacent highway and shall include all of
every highway within the area annexed.
SECTION 3. That a certified copy of this Ordinance together
with an accurate map of the territory hereby annexed shall be
recorded in the Office of the Recorder of Deeds of McHenry County,
Illinois, and filed in the Office of the County Clerk of McHenry
County, Illinois.
SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval according to law.
