AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY TO
THE CITY OF McHENRY, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, a written Petition signed by Lakeland Park Propertv
Owners Association, Inc., a Not for Profit Illinois Corporation, has
been filed with the City Clerk of the City of McHenry, Illinois,
requesting that certain territory be annexed to the City of McHenry,
and
WHEREAS, there are no electors residing upon said territory,
and,
WHEREAS, said territory is not within the corporate limits
of any other municipality, and is contiguous to the corporate limits
of the City of McHenry, and
WHEREAS, no notices are required to the Fire Protection
District or Library District for the reason that the territory both
before and after annexation will be within the McHenry Township Fire
Protection Listrict and the City of McHenry provides no fire protection,
and that the territory lies within any Public Library District, and,
WHEREAS, said territory does not abut or adjoin any highway,
and,
WHEREAS, all petitions, documents and other necessary legal
requirements are in full compliance with the statutes of the State of
Illinois, and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City of McHenry
that said territory be annexed thereto.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the
City of McHenry, Illinois, as follows:
1. _T�at the following described territory be and it is
hereby annexed to the City of McHenry, Illinois, to -wit:
Part of the Southwest Quarter of Section 22, Town-
ship 45 North, Range 8 East of the Third Principal
Meridian, described as follows: Beginning at the
Southeast corner of said Southwest Quarter; thence
South 890 46' 04" West, 233.19 feet more or less
to the shore line of McCullom Lake; thence North
330 21' 18" East along said shore line 182.35 feet,
more or less; thence North 890 51' 00" East, 135.85
feet to the East line of said Southwest Quarter;
thence South 10 06' 10" West along said East line
151.75 feet to the place of beginning. All contain-
ing 0.643 acres, more or less, in McHenry County,
Illinois.
2. That a map of said territory is attached to this
Ordinance and made a part hereof.
3. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to record with
the Recorder of Deeds and to file with the County Clerk a certified
copy of this Ordinance together with the accurate map of the territory
attached to said Ordinance.
4. That said parcel is hereby automatically zoned "R-2"
Single Family District from and after passage, approval and publication
as provided by law.
