HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances - O-79-200 - 07/15/1979 - PROVIDE FOR ANNEX STILLINGRECEIVED 0-79-200 J U L 1 61979 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF McHENRY , ILLINOITIT, OF WHEN$Y WHEREAS, the territory hereinafter described is not within the corporate limits of any municipality, is uninhabited and contiguous to the City of McHenry, Illinois; and WHEREAS, the territory hereinafter described is owned by the City of McHenry; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF McHENRY, ILLINOIS, as follows: SECTION 1. That the following described territory be and the same is hereby annexed to and made a part of the City of McHenry, Illinois: `Chat part of Lot 2 in the Northwest Quarter of Section 2, Township North, Range 8 East of the Third Principal Meridian, described as follows: Commencing az the Northwest corner of said Northwest Quarter; thence Easterly, along the North line of said Lot 2, a distance of 1,017.54 feet for the place of beginning; thence continuing Easterly, along said North line, a distance of 1,363.14 feet to the Northwest corner of a tract of land conveyed to the City cr' McHenry and recorded as Document No. 399375; thence Southerly, along the West line of sa__f '--ract of land, a distance of 349.79 feet measured (350.06 feet Deed, zo the Southwest corner of said tract of land, -.hence Easterly, alor._ the South line of said tract of land, a distance of 247.92 feet meas.ire�: 1247.76 feet Deed) to the East line of Lot 2, a-foresaid; thence Soutner ,, along said East line, a distance of 144.39 feet z.o the Northeast corner of a tract of land conveyed to Preston N. Stilling and Adele Stilling, his wife, and recorded as Document No. 537231; thence Northerly, along the East line of said Stilling land, a distance of 318.91 feet to the place of beginning, in McHenry County, Illinois. SECTION 2. That the boundary lines of the City of McHenry be and they are hereby enlarged and extended to include within its corporate boundaries the above -described territory. SECTION 3. That a certified copy of this ordinance, together with an accurate map or maps of the territory hereby annexed, shall be recorded with the Recorder of Deeds of McHenry County, Illinois, and shall also be filed with the County Clerk of McHenry County, Illinois.
