HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances - O-78-166 - 08/28/1978 - ANNEX LOTS 4-7 SHERMAN HILL SUBCITY OF McHENRY ORDINANCE NO. 0-1 F;6 0-79 1(( AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF McHENRY McHENRY COUNTY, ILLINOIS ADOPTED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF McHENRY THIS 28th DAY OF August , 1978 WHEREAS, a written petition, signed by the legal owner of record of all land within the territory hereinafter described, has been filed with the City Clerk of the CITY OF McHENRY, McHenry County, Illinois, requesting that said territory be annexed to the CITY OF McHENRY; and WHEREAS, there are no electors residing within the said territory; and WHEREAS, the said territory is not within the corporate limits of any municipality, but is contiguous to the CITY OF McHENRY: and WHEREAS, legal notices regarding the intention of the CITY to annex said territory have been sent to all public bodies required to receive such notice by State statute; and WHEREAS, copies of such notices have been recorded in the Office of the Recorder of Deeds of McHenry County; and WHEREAS, the legal owner of record of said territory and the CITY OF McHENRY have entered into a valid and binding annexation agreement relating to such territory; and Aai) os Ai+aohed t-o 4-"c, ©rlinoal WHEREAS, all petitions, documents, and other necessary legal requirements are in full compliance with the terms of said .vexation agreement and with the Statutes of the State of Illinois, specifically Chapter 24, paragraph 7-1-8, Illinois Revised Statutes, 1971, as amended; and WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the CITY OF Mc HENRY that said territory be annexed thereto. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF McHENRY, McHENRY COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. THAT the following described territory; Lots 4, 5, 6 and 7 (except the Westerly 50 feet of said Lot 7) of Sherman Hill Industrial Subdivision, being a Subdivision of part of the Northwest Quarter of Section 28, Township 45 North, Range 8 East of the Third Principal Meridian, according to the Plat thereof re- corded July 12, 1961 as Document No. 388438, as amended by Certificate recorded August 14, 1961 as Document No. 390006, in McHenry County, Illinois. being indicated on an accurate map of the annexed territory, (which is appended to and made a part of this Ordinance) is hereby annexed to the CITY OF McHENRY, McHenry County, Illinois. SECTION 2. THAT the City Clerk is hereby directed to record with the Recorder of Deeds and to file with the County Clerk a certified copy of this Ordinance, together with the accurate map f the territory annexed appended to said Ordinance. SECTION 3. THAT this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval as provided by law. PASSED this 28th day of p„g,�t , 1978. AYES: Rn1Tr.
