AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY TO
THE CITY OF McHENRY, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS a written petition signed by the McHenry Country
Club, an Illinois Corporation, has been filed with the City Clerk
of the City of McHenry, Illinois, requesting that certain territory
be annexed to the City of McHenry, and
WHEREAS there are no electors residing upon said
territory, and
WHEREAS said territory is not within the corporate
limits of any other muncipality, and is contiguous to the corporate
limits of the City of McHenry, and
WHEREAS no notices are required to the Fire Protection
District or Library District for the reason that the territory
both before and after annexation will be within the McHenry Township
Fire Protection District and the City of McHenry provides no fire
protection, and that the territory lie within any Public Library
District, and
WHEREAS all petitions, documents and other necessary
legal requirements are in full compliance with the statutes of the
State of Illinois, and
WHEREAS it is in the best interest of the City of McHenry
that said territory be annexed thereto,
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of
the City of McHenry, Illinois, as follows:
1. That the following described territory be and it is
hereby annexed to the City of McHenry, Illinois, to -wit:

That part of the Southeast Quarter of Section 35,
Township 45 North, Range 8 East of the Third Principal
Meridian, described as follows: Commencing at the
Southwest Corner of Lot 9 in McHenry Golf Course Sub-
division, Fox River Addition, being a subdivision of
part of the North Half of Fractional Sections 35 and
36 in Township 45 North, Range 8 East of the Third
Principal Meridian, according to the Plat thereof
recorded in the Recorder's Office of McHenry County,
Illinois on October 21, 1929 in Book 8 of Plats on
Page 2; thence West on the East and West Quarter
Section line of said Section 35 for a distance of
225.50 feet to a point for the place of beginning;
thence continuing West on said Quarter Section line
for a distance of 100 feet to a point; thence South
at right angles to the last described line, at the
last described point, for a distance of 201.50 feet
to a point; thence East parallel to the East and West
Quarter Section line of said Section 35 for a distance
of 100 feet to a point; thence North at right angles
to the last described line, at the last described point,
for a distance of 201.50 feet to the place of beginning,
in McHenry County, Illinois.
2. That a map of said territory is attached to this
ordinance and made a part hereof.
3. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to record with
the Recorder of Deeds and to file with the County Clerk a certified
copy of this ordinance together with the accurate map of the territory
attached to said ordinance.

4. That said parcel is hereby/zoned "Rl Residence District."
5. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after passage, approval and publication as provided by law.
