AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ANNEXATION
OF TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF MCHENRY, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, the territory hereinafter described is not
within the corporate limits of any municipality, is uninhabited
and contiguous to the City of McHenry, Illinois; and
WHEREAS, the territory hereinafter described is owned
by the City of McHenry;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF McHENRY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the following described territory be
and the same is hereby annexed to and made a part of the City
of McHenry, Illinois:
That part of the Southeast Quarter of Section 22, Township
45 North, Range 8 East of the Third Principal Meridian, lying West
of the West line of the right of way of the Chicago and Northwestern
Railroad Company, South of the premises conveyed by a certain deed
corded in _Book-97 of Deeds, page 116 and lying South and East of
line described as follows: Beginning at a point in the Southerly
ine of Lot 4 in Lakewood Subdivision, being a Subdivision of part
if the Southeast Quarter of said Section 22, as per the Plat
thereof recorded July 12, 1920 as Document No. 48171, which point
is equal distant from the Southeasterly and Southwesterly corners
of said Lot 4; thence South 20 degrees 30 minutes East 325.0 feet;
thence South 71 degrees 12 minutes West 561.80 feet, more or less,
to the most Easterly Corner of the lands conveyed by Fred T. Colby
to Clarence and Florence Olson by Warranty Deed dated May 15, 1945
as Document No. 202972; thence South 88 degrees 23 minutes West,
400.0 feet to the Easterly line of the driveway as shown on the Plat
of said Lakewood Subdivision aforesaid; thence Southerly along the Easterl
line of said driveway -and the Easterly line of said driveway extended,
a distance of 32.39 feet to a point on a line 118.83 feet North, as
measured along the West line thereof, and parallel with the South
line of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 22; thence West along
said parallel line to the East line of said 20 foot driveway; thence
South and West along the lines of said driveway to the West line of
the Southeast Quarter of said Section 22; excepting therefrom the
WAst 294.0 feet, as measured on the North and South lines thereof,
that part of said tract described as follows: Beginning at the
Southeast Corner of the private park Easterly of and adjoining Lot 1
in Lakewood Subdivision, aforesaid; thence North 79 degrees 05
minutes East, 381.80 feet, more or less, to a point on the Westerly
right of way line of the Chicago and Northwestern Railway, which is
804.30 feet Northwesterly from the intersection of said Westerly
right of way line with the South line of the Southeast Quarter of
said Section 22; thence Northwesterly along said Westerly right
of way line 119.80 feet; thence South 79 degrees West, 392.50 feet
to a point which is North 16 degrees 05 minutes West, 119.40 feet
from the corner of beginning; thence South 16 degrees 05 minutes
East, 119.40 feet to the corner of beginning except that part thereof
described as commending at the Southeast Corner of the private park
Easterlv of and adjoininQ Lot 1 in said Lakewood Subdivision, afore-
that part thereof bounded by a line described as follows: Commencing
the Southeast Corner of the private park Easterly of and adjoining
5t 1 in Lakewood Subdivision, aforesaid; thence Southerly along a
.ine drawn at right angles to the Northerly line of the driveway as
shown on said Plat, being also the Southerly line of Lots 1 through
6 and said park in said Subdivision, a distance of 215.0 feet;
thence Westerly parallel with the Northerly line of said driveway
to an intersection with a line described as bearing South 20 degrees
31 minutes East and drawn from a point on the Southerly line of Lot
4 in said Lakewood Subdivision which is equi-distant from the South-
easterly and Southwesterly corners of said Lot 4; thence Northerly
along the last described line, a distance of 215.0 feet to said
point on the Southerly line of said Lot 4; thence Easterly along the
Southerly lines of Lots 1 through 4 and said park, a distance of
205.0 feet to the place of beginning, in McHenry County, Illinois.

That part of the 20 foot driveway as shown on the Plat
c the Lakewood Subdivision, a subdivision of part of the Southeast

I incipal Meridian, as per the plat thereof recorded July 20, 1920
s Document No. 48171, bounded by a line described as follows:
Commencing at a point on the Wbst line of the Southeast Quarter of
said Section 22 which is 25.0 feet North of the Southwest Corner of
said Quarter Section, said point being the Southwesterly Corner of
said 20 foot driveway; thence North along the West line of said
Quarter Section, being the West line of said driveway, a distance
of 93.83 feet to a point 118.83 feet North of the Southwest Corner
of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 22; thence East parallel
with the South line of said Quarter Section, a distance of 20.0
feet to a point on the East line of said driveway; thence South
and West along the lines of said driveway to the place of beginning,
in McHenry County, Illinois. ALSO
That part of the Southeast Quarter of Section 22, Township 45 North,
Range 8 East of the Third Principal Meridian, described as follows:
Commencing at the intersection of the South line of said Southeast
_rter and the West right of way line of the Chicago and Northwestern
iilway Company; thence North 11 degrees 00 minutes 00 seconds West,
24.49 feet to the place of beginning; thence South 78 degrees 58
minutes 52 seconds West, 392.45 feet; thence North 11 degrees 00
minutes 00 seconds West, 150.00 feet; thence South 78 degrees 58
minutes 52 seconds West, 25.0 feet; thence North 11 degrees 00
minutes 00 seconds West, 340.05 feet; thence North 77 degrees
36 minutes 57 seconds East, 417.57 feet to a point on the West right
of way line of the. Chicago and Northwestern Railway Company; thence
South 11 degrees 00 minutes 00 seconds East_along the said West
right of way line, 500.00 feet to the place of beginning, in McHenry
County, Illinois.
SECTION 3. That a certified copy of this ordinance,
together with an accurate map or maps of the territory hereby
annexed, shall be recorded with the Recorder of Deeds of
McHenry County, Illinois, and shall also be filed with the
County Clerk of McHenry County, Illinois.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval according to
law.
