AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN
PROPERTY TO THE CITY OF McHENRY
McHENRY COUNTY, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, a written Petition, executed by the legal title holders
of record, has been filed with the City Clerk of the City of McHenry,
McHenry County, Illinois, requesting that said property be annexed to the
City of McHenry; and
WHEREAS, the said property is not within the corporate limits of
any municipality, other than the County of McHenry, and is contiguous to the
corporate boundaries of the City of McHenry; and
WHEREAS, the said property is not a part of any public library
district; and
WHEREAS, the subject property is located within the McHenry
Fire Protection District; and
WHEREAS, there is no primary election or general election being
held within the statutory time period concerning such elections; and
WHEREAS, the said Petition complies with all the requirements
pertinent to annexations as set forth in the Illinois Revised Statutes, including
proper execution by all of the owners and all of the electors of record
residing on said property; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City of McHenry that
said property be annexed thereto.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the
City of McHenry, McHenry County, Illinois, as follows:
SECTION 1: That the following described property be and the same
is hereby annexed to the City of McHenry, McHenry County, Illinois:
That part of Section 29, Township 45 North, Range 8 East
of the Third Principal Meridian, described as follows:
Beginning at the Southeast corner of the North Half of the

the South line of said North Half of the Southeast Quarter,
2648. 0 feet to the Southwest corner of said North Half of the

29 for a distance of 990. 3 feet, more or less, to the East line

of the Northeast Quarter of said Section 29; thence Southerly
along the said East line of the West Half of the Northeast Quarter,
742. 0 feet; thence Easterly along the North line of the North Half
of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 29 for a distance of 791. 96
feet; thence South 0 degrees 00 minutes 00 seconds East along a
line parallel with the East line of said North Half of the Southeast
Quarter, 549.41 feet, more or less; thence North 49 degrees
22 minutes 00 seconds East, 25. 55 feet, more or less; thence
South 4 degrees 53 minutes 00 seconds East, 309. 83 feet; thence
South 88 degrees 49 minutes 00 seconds East, 478. 12 feet to the
said East line of the North Half of the Southeast Quarter; thence
Southerly along the said East line of the North Half of the South-

in McHenry County, Illinois.
SECTION 2:
That the City Clerk of the City of McHenry is hereby
directed to record in the Office of the Recorder of Deeds of McHenry County,
Illinois, and to file in the Office of the County Clerk of McHenry County,
Illinois, being the County in which the aforesaid annexed property is situated,
a certified copy of this Ordinance, together with an accurate map of the
property hereby annexed, said map being attached hereto, made a part
hereof, and identified as "Exhibit 111.
SECTION 3: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval, and when a certified copy thereof,

together with "Exhibit I", is recorded in the Office of the Recorder of Deeds
of McHenry County, Illinois, and filed in the Office of the County Clerk of
McHenry County, Illinois; and thereupon, said property shall be subject to
the jurisdiction of the City of McHenry.

PETITION FOR ANNEXATION
TO THE CITY OF McHENRY
The undersigned Petitioners respectfully represent to the City
Council of the City of McHenry, Illinois, as follows:
1. That PHILIP O. WHEELOCK and ANNA D. WHEELOCK, his
wife, and RICHARD B. WHEELOCK and GWEN WHEELOCK, his wife, are
all of the owners of record and all of the electors residing upon the following
described premises, to -wit:
That part of Section 29, Township 45 North, Range 8 East
of the Third Principal Meridian, described as follows:

2. That the said premises, as above described, are contiguous to
existing corporate boundary lines and are not within the corporate limits of
any other municipality.
3. Petitioners represent that they are, therefore, all of the owners
and all of the electors residing upon the premises sought to be annexed to the
City of McHenry by this Petition.
4. Petitioners further represent that this Petition for Annexation is
brought under the provisions relative thereto in Chapter 24 of the Illinois
Revised Statutes, to -wit, Section 7-1-S.
5. The annexing municipality does not provide municipal fire
protection service, both the City of McHenry and the subject property being
serviced by the McHenry Fire Protection District.
6. The Petitioners represent that the subject property is not a part
of any public library district.
7. Petitioners further represent that there is no annexation of any
right-of-way or road concerned.
8. Petitioners represent that there is no primary election or
general election being held within the statutory time period concerning such
elections.
9. Petitioners further represent that an accurate survey of the
premises is attached 'hereto.
10. Petitioners therefore state that all of the requirements under
the said Chapter and Section of the Illinois Revised Statutes have been met
and respectfully request the enactment of an Ordinance by the City Council
of the City of McHenry to effect the annexation desired.
