AN ORDINANCE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MCHENRY,
ILLINOIS, as follows: -
_ 'SECTION 1. Section 111 of the City of McHenry Ordinance
Mc-48, ]mown - as Motor Vehicle and Traffic Regulations Ordinance,
be and the. -same is -hereby amended :by adding thereto the follow-
ing additional Stop Sign regulations, it being unlawful for the
operator of any -vehicle being operated on any of the streets
hereinafter listed in the -column designated "Stop Sign" to drive
such vehicle into the intersection with the street listed
opposite to -it in the column designated "Intersecting Street"
without first bringing such vehicle to a full stop at the en-
trance to such intersection as indicated by the signs located
at such interesections:
STOP STREET
Cercial Avenue
Commercial Avenue
Stratford- (North Bound)
Stratford (East Bound)
S .1bury (at both locations)
Watersedge
Bromley Drive (Eastbound)
INTERSECTING STREE
Meadow Lane
Highview
Kensington
Kensington
Ke nsington (at
both locations)
Kensington
Kensington
SECTION 2. Any person, firm or corporation violating any
provision of this Ordinance' shall be fined not less than Five
Dollars ($5.00) nor more than Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) for
each offense.
SECTION-3. --All ordinances, or parts thereof, in conflict
herewith, be and the same are to the extent of such conflict her
by repealed.
- SECTION -4.- Publication of this Ordinance in pamphlet form
by and under the authority of the Mayor and City Council, be and
the same is hereby authorized.
SECTION 5. This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect after its passage, approval and publication as by law
provided.
