MUNICIPAL INSURANCE TAX ORDINANCE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF McHENRY,
COUNTY OF MCHENRY, ILLINOIS, THAT:
SECTION 1. A special tax is hereby imposed for the purpose
of pure asing any loss or liability insurance, upon all of the
taxable property within the City of McHenry at the rate that will
produce an amount which will be sufficient to meet the cost of
purchasing such insurance, in accordance with the provisions of
Chapter 85, Section 9-107 of the Illinois Revised Statutes.
SECTION 2. Such municipal insurance tax shall be held in
a special fund and used for no other purpose than payment of
expenses occasioned by such insuring expense.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval as required by
law.
SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall be published in pamphlet
form Uy and under the authority of the corporate authorities of
the City of McHenry, Illinois.
