AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF McHENRY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
McHENRY, ILLINOIS AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance of the City of
McHenry, Illinois as passed, approved and as subsequently amended
and as now in effect, and the zoning map of the City of McHenry,
Illinois adopted as a part of said Zoning Ordinance, and as amended,
be and they are hereby amended as follows:
A. The Special Use Permit heretofore granted to McHENRY HOS-
--TAL, be and the same is hereby extended to the following described
)roperty, and the same may hereafter be used for hospital and medical
clinic use, including medically related business and professional
uses, employees' residential use, off-street parking and all neces-
sarily related uses:
TRACT I: Lot 8 in Block 2 in Venice Park Addition to
McHenry, Unit No. 1, according to the Plat thereof
recorded February 25, 1941 as document number 152920,
in McHenry County, Illinois.
TRACT II: The East 30 feet of Lot 1 (as measured along
the south line thereof) in Block 3 of the Plat of Venice
Park Addition to McHenry, Unit No. 1, a subdivision of
part of the Southeast Fractional Quarter of Section 26
and part of the Northeast Fractional Quarter of Section
35, Township 45 North, Range 8 East of the Third Prin-
cipal Meridian, according to the Plat thereof recorded
February 25, 1941 as Document Number 152920, in Book 7
of Plats, page 68, in McHenry County, Illinois; also
That part of Private Lane No. 1, shown in the said Plat
of Venice Park Addition to McHenry, Unit No. 1, lying
East of the Easterly line of Lot 5 in Block 2 of said
Addition, in the City of McHenry, McHenry County, Illi-
nois.
SECTION 2: Such extension is made following hearing before
the affirmative recommendation of the Zoning Board of Appeals
of the City of McHenry, following proper application therefor, pub-
lication of notice thereof, and public hearing, all in accordance
with the provisions of said Zoning Ordinance, and upon the following
specific findings:
1. The Special Use will not cause substantial injury
to the value of other property in the neighborhood in
which it is to be located.
2. The location and size of the Special Use, the nature
and intensity of the operation involved in or conducted
in connection with it, the size of the site in relation
to it, and the location of the site with respect to
streets giving access to it, shall be such that it will
be in harmony with the appropriate and orderly develop-
ment of the district in which it is to be located.
3. The location, nature and height of buildings, walls
and fences, and the nature and extent of the landscaping
on the site shall be such that the use will not hinder
or discourage the appropriate development and use of
adjacent land and buildings, or will not impair the
value thereof.
4. Parking areas shall be of adequate size for the
particular use, properly located, and suitably screened
from adjoining residential uses, and the entrance and
exit drives shall be laid out so as to prevent traffic
hazards and nuisances.
SECTION 3: All ordinances or parts thereof in conflict here-
,.th be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4: This Ordinance shall be in effect from and after its
passage and approval -according to law.
